I don't know how well this works with other cameras, but it's absolutely fine with Canons. I bought this for my good lady wife who is about as IT averse as it's possible to be and still use email, and she loves it. You plug the camera into the Selphy, choose the pics you want to print, and print them. They look exactly the same as the ones from Jessops or Tesco, and they cost about the same as well, i.e. about 20p per 6x4 print, but of course you only print the ones you really like. Because it's dye-sublimation with a 50-pic casette already loaded, you can leave it as long as you like between prints and it still works, unlike ink-jets which have to be used regularly or the jets block up. Personally, I don't print photos at all nowadays, but ... Read More:

I bought this from Amazon a few months back. It is far quicker to put on than changing to a macro lens and cheaper than a decent one and of course less kit in an overfilled bag.

However its no good pretending you don't get huge DOF problems as in real macro and for best results on very small objects eg v.small wildflowers, best used with a tripod, can be a mini. I use it on Nikon 80-400VR, an old lens which needs switching to over-ride auto-focus with manual; would be better still on lens not needing that.Focus distance around 500mm. On larger/moving things, eg butterflies, pretty good hand held. On normal size flowers, better to use a closer focus normal lens (in my case 18-135) with smaller min focus distance

I have been considering this lens for a long long time and have spent hours researching the net, looking through reviews, and working out if I could justify spending this much on a piece of glass.

I got the lens today and immediately set about taking some simple shots around the house of things like teddy bears, christmas decorations and several shots of the christmas tree, and after downloading them and checking out the results I was blown away!! The colour, contrast, and saturation were phenominal. Every image was absolutely tack sharp and just superb. I was really worried after reading hundreds of reviews that I might get a poor copy and get soft images but the copy I've got is outstanding. It blows every other lens right ... Read More:
