good card reader - arrived next day excellent service. only thing is it won't read a microSD card which is inserted into a SD convertor but otherwise good piece of kit

Just recently bought the Panasonic EZ47 DVD/VHS Combi recorder from Amazon and am archiving most of my VHS tapes to RAM Discs (supplied by K K Electronics - excellent fast service). Having viewed the discs after copying, the images are superb and the recorder/disc combination does definitely upgrade the image when viewed on a compatible 100Hz tv. The copying initiation with this recorder is simplicity itself and I shall definitely stick to these discs (no formatting etc) for all forms of recording/archiving in the future.

How can HP get away with sending a printer that does not have all its essential parts without mentioning that prominently in the advert? (No paper is obvious, they don't need to mention that, nor that coffee is hot.) Is the Advertising Standards Watchdog having a cup of tea with grandma or a nap? At least it's not expensive, but I have to wait probably another week before my printer will work. First I'll see if there's a stockist in town.

Just couldn't get this to work. According to the instructions it should have done but it didn't. Spent ages fiddling about but it wouldn't pick up any signal let alone mine. It went back.

I also own a 320gb toughdrive and a 160gb WD passport USB drive. Both are pretty similar in use, except the toughdrive (with its integral but short USB lead) is slightly fiddly to connect to my laptop. Also, for some reason the blue activity light in the toughdrive lead sometimes goes out and fails to work for days at a time (a friend's toughdrive also has this problem when used with his PC). More seriously, when leaving the drive connected to my laptop for long periods (say 12-24hrs) it gets suprisingly hot (much more so than the passport) which probably does not enhance longevity or reliability. I really have noticed that duracell 9 volt batteries last longer and provide more of a shock to my tounge than most 9 volt batteries. They are also hardwearing, not that this is particularly important for a battery, but there are some cheap ones that break basically from falling on the floor! These batteries managed to power a range of electrical appliances in my house, and that is all I`m asking of them. Let`s face it: batteries are basic, and with these ones perfection is almost there. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was because they are not rechargable - simple as that. The difference is in the design with this Dyson. You just have to see the detail. It's vastly superior to any other handheld. In fact, from Dyson's own website, I can buy any part, and make a whole new machine myself and without having to pay for costly repairs. What do you do with your old handheld when it breaks - throw it away and buy another one? Well done Mr. Dyson. It's a top product. If you want a good price, like I did, then price watch a few places and wait for offers and deals to come by. I am generally pleased with the HP 344 twinpack bundle. The colour is good and I get a reasonable quantity of prints per cartridge. Naturally, the tri-colour ink system isn't the most economical if you use any one colour particularly heavily... but the same is true of any other tri-colour system and was a known factor when I purchased my multifunction printer. Online prices have proven significantly lower than instore prices, enabling me to purchase genuine HP cartridges which do not invalidate the warranty on my printers for the same/less money as compatibles/refurbs instore. Please avoid the advice of the reviewer 'Mr Ince' who has been advertising a potentially dubious site, using the same wording over many reviews.

This drive is simply great! very quick and easy to plug and play, two minutes out of the box and I was backing up files and images. The design is simple but the rubber casing feels good and it won't be showing up any scratches like all the other plastic drives on the market. I can confirm that this drive does live up to being the world's smallest 2.5" hard drive, sits nicely in my shirt pocket. Finally the price - wow ! 25p per GB great value for a great drive
