I've always been a big fan of Verbatim discs and am a regular user of Verbatim CD-R 100 pack spindles and Verbatim DVD+RW 4x 25 Pack Spindles , so I was very keen to test out my new thermal printer with their lightscribe discs. Happy to say that they were up to the usual Verbatim quality, perfect burns and printing came out great.

After using a 25 pack of these, I bought two 25pk Kodak DVD-Rs, only to be disappointed and regretting buying them in the first place. So I went back to these Verbatim DVD-Rs, which have once again proved their worth and impeccable efficiency. I've used these for all sorts of multimedia stuff (movies, songs, documents, software) and so far no problems encountered. Also these DVDs last for a very long time, if kept in good condition. I still have Verbatim DVDs from last year, which are in perfect working state.

Just to ensure all DVDs have a high success rate after burning, I burn all my CDs/DVDs at half the speed.

These are definitely worth every penny!! And with a lifetime warranty, what else could you want?!

I burn a lot of DVDs - 3 or 4 per day lately - so I'm looking for quality and value when it comes time to buy more. That's why I love these Memorex DVD+R 100 packs. For me, Memorex and Sony have always stood apart, but I'm not giving any of my money to a company (Sony) that secretly installed root kit software with their music CDs. Besides, I've never had a problem with a single Memorex DVD (DVD-R or DVD+R) - and, while I've only burned a few on my DVD recorder, I've burned at least a couple hundred on my computer. I started out transferring long videos from my hard drive to individual discs; although those played fine on my standard DVD player as well as computer, I soon realized it was much too costly. Since I only rarely use my standalone ... Read More:

Having recorded the maximum amount possible onto the Verbatim 8x DVD+R Double layer media at its rated recording speed of 8x and above to all available review drives with Nero CD-DVD Speed, the next stage of this review will concentrate on Disc Quality.

The first part of the Quality tests involved scanning all the pieces of Verbatim 8x DVD+R Double layer media recorded on each review recording device with the Plextor PX-755A using Plextools Q-Check tests to find out how many potential SUM8 (PI Errors) and Sum1 (PI Failures) a playback device would have to correct whilst playing or transferring the recorded media. This also enabled me to obtain which of the 5 recorded pieces of media most matched the average result. The average disc shown ... Read More:
