If your going to be taking alot of night time long shutter speed shots or want to use the bulb setting on the camera, if you have any problems with camera shake while on tripods or if you want to take portrait shots where your not looking into the eye piece the whole time, well then get this. If you just want to try out taking night time photos then I would just say use the timer on the camera. If you then decide that you like night shots and want to take more than get it. It is a very handy little piece of equipment but if you do get it just don't let it sit in the bottom of your bag. My desktop's headphone slot was in such an awkward place, it meant that I was not able to watch video's on it comfortably with headphones on as I had to stretch my neck in order to avoid the headphones coming off. Therefore I had a look on Amazon and found this bad boy. Now I can watch videos and listen to music with headphones easily and comfortably.

I bought a spare one of these for my 5D. It's rated at 1390 mAh and 7.4V. As it's an official Canon product it won't invalidate your warranty if that's a consideration. These battery packs give a very high number of shots and I feel confident with two of these fully charged I can shoot all day, review photos to my heart's content and use battery draining IS lenses without worry. In fact I've only had to change batteries on one occasion and by that time I'd had enough anyway! I think they are rated to give around 800 shots. Highly recommended.

Its a fantastic battery, but thats all its is - a battery. It can be found elsewhere from as low as £5, so I wouldn't advise shelling out 8x to replace it.

This is a great alternative to having to wipe your lens with a microfibre cloth, which I prefer not to do unless I absolutely have to (cos I'm a ruddy paranoid!). It isn't 100% effective, but it's near enough. There was one large piece of dust on the lens that had been there for a number of days that wouldn't budge even with a close strong squeeze - but since using this after every shooting session I haven't had any dust that I couldn't dislodge, so it doesn't lose any stars. Great buy!

Was asked to be the wedding photographer at my sisters wedding, so decided that I needed a proper flash. This was recommended to me and I was not dissappointed. Fully adjustable head for bounch flash with diffuser for macro work. Just leave it on fully auto or adjust as much as you like. For studio photographers you can link these up for remote shooting. A must have for the next step up!
