Very disappointed with this... I wanted a frame that was very easy to use for my technophobe mother and, although the picture quality was very good, and the slideshow started straightaway, it was very slow and I had numerous problems. I was particularly keen on the auto-rotation feature - a previous reviewer said that it automatically recognised EXIF rotations. This didn't work at all. So I rotated them on the PC instead. More importantly however, these rotated images were shown as "invalid" when viewing the thumbnails. This is despite the fact that they were taken with a Samsung DSLR camera, and not modified at all other than rotating them. This is a great little flash. It fits nicely in a small pocket, weighs absolutely nothing and helps immensely indoors. The head tilts upwards at 60-, 75- and 90-degree angles. As a previous reviewer mentioned, it communicates with my camera perfectly ( currently owning a D300 ) to get spot-on exposure every time. The only time it struggled was in a room where the ceiling was painted black and the bounce was limited. Still, this was easily resolved with flash-metering before taking the shot. The beauty of this flash is that there are no settings to change on the back, you just switch it on and start shooting. I mostly use it in rooms with friends, and get amazing colours, as if there is no flash at all.

I thought about buying this for some time being abit skeptical, but reading the reviews i decided to buy it being only a fiver. I should of bought it sooner! much cheaper then a dedicated macro lens, and being a photography student and working as an assistant photographer time to time it was well in my budget and im very glad i bought it. i will always carry it around with me with the new Hama track backpack i bought on here too.

Coupled with my Olympus E420, this is the best flash I have owned since my first Olympus camera + flash in 1977. To put it simply, it will handle any need for a flash-gun that an amateur photographer will encounter. You could add more power with its sister, the FL-50, but that's a choice you will make for yourself. Using it with an Olympus E-series is simplicity itself, and, as long as you have made the right choices, like not forgetting the red-eye reduction, it will give you the right results. The build quality is exceptionally good. Now I've been using it, a lot, I have to concede that the FL-36 is a whole lot better than my first Olympus flash. Wouldn't be without it. Granted when in use I may as well have my 400D as regards bulk, but that can't be taken to bits and fit in my pocket, not ever. I view this item as a must have for the G9, couldn't live G9 life without it. REQUIRES also Canon Lens Conversion Adapter LA-DC58H for PowerShot G7 & G9- won't fit without it, but can (must) also be used for the telephoto adapter. Finally, this is a wide-angle lens ADAPTER, NOT an actual lens. You get the wide angle effect (speaking in terms of compact cameras), without the internal glass of a "real" lens. So, it's less expensive, but as far as I am concerned it works just fine. Anthony

I really like this case, very compact and allows easy access to the Camcorder (SR12e) for inspired shots. Would recommend getting the accessory pack which includes a spare battery and accessory case to clip on. Nowhere for cables though, but I guess it wouldnt be so compact if it did have!!!

Fits the lens perfectly, has a nice fabric feel on the inside for that pro feeling to it. It isn't overly big, nice size and shape. Does the job.
