I've had a canon v3/s230 for almost 2 years now and I've taken thousands and thousands of pictures with it. I've very rarely been let down by anything it does. The picture quality is excellent and I have had photos as large as 12x8 developed and they look crisp and the colour is perfect, only Canon have been capable of great colour from the digital cameras I've seen. Pros: Great picture quality, Small size, Movie mode (quality movies), Night shot (v.good - best for digital cameras of this size). Cons: Battery life (it's not that bad though) and the weight. What can I say....I had this amazing camera for over a year only to have it taxed by some gippos while on holiday. Bought the bronze version with full leather case etc. for around £210 back in Dec 2004 from malaysia. The quality of the photos, ease of use and style was amazing. Colours come out really well much better than the sony T-series 5MP cameras that some of my friends have. The only drawback is the lack of optical zoom (digital zoom images are pixellated when using the LCD but they come out ok on the pc) and the pathetic battery life ....my only problem now is trying to find a replacement.

I must say that the quality of pictures cannot ompare to my powershot, but maybe this is because my daughter doesn't have a steady hand. Hmmm. She better do more hand excercises.
