I needed a new camera, one that could take decent quality photo's and not break the bank. With the Powershot, I got more than I could have possibly wished for, I love it. After using it for about six months, I'd like to say the following about it: Not only does it take extremely good photo's, but on the scrn setting, it does so with point and click ease. The battery life is pretty good too, provided of course that you use decent batteries (at least 2500mah). With those batteries or better, two sets last me a whole day of really happy snapping. With all the different settings you can make, snapping isn't all this little baby is capable of though, you could turn out quite professional looking pictures if you wanted to. Read More:

Great camera but buy the 400d now, beware tho-once you start using the camera more and more you will want to buy more and more lenses. Go for IS lenses if you want to shoot wildlife or sporting events. I have a 350d and have just bought the 400d, i photograph whales and dolphins but my husband is a birdwatcher and always wants the camera to shoot birds- even tho he said he wasn't interested when i bought the 350d. Now we have both we fight over the 100-400 IS zoom lens!

This is a great little compact camera that has all the features you are likely to need, the plus id the 10Mp sensor and the 4x zoom. I was a little skeptical about using a compact camera as I usually use Canon's 1 series D-SLR cameras but i was really surprised by the image that it produced. I bought this primarily for underwater photography whilst snorkeling as getting a housing for my other cameras is more expensive than a new car! All in all a great camera that will fit in your pocket.

I've had mine for a few months now and really enjoy it. This is my 7th digital camera. I sold a Canon SLR and got this one as I couldn't get on with the large size but still wanted something that felt substantial. As it uses AA's it gives it the extra weight I want. The zoom isn't as high as my SLR but the macro setting is better and I take more of the close-ups. I like the flash level can be adjusted which wasn't available on a Panasonic I had and greatly needed. The sepia setting on this camera is a particularly lovely colour.....easy to use and has a big "grippy" part to help steady it although it DOES have image stabilization anyway. I usually take pictures using the vivid colour setting as it's much more effective. Don't notice a huge difference ... Read More:
