This camera is the lightest and smallest camera I have owned so far. It has features I find very useful, for example the shoot and choose function is great for shooting action shots. It will easily fit in a largish shirt's lapel pocket. It starts up quickly for those moments when you need a camera bit quick. I have only given it 3 stars though because the picture quality is only average. It may be 8 megapixel but I think I was achieving better pictures with my Canon a70 3.2 megapixel camera 5 years back or more. There is considerable noise in most pictures. Colour leakage around things and lndscape pictures seem a little flat. But if you want a well made, lightweight camera at a reasonable price you'd do well to consider ... Read More:

Just got this camera from the airport. Enough battery to be able to look at and learn a few things whilst on the plane. Very easy to use although the on/off button is quite small, so anyone with bigs hands will find this camera a problem. The battery can be recharged and it lasted the week plus extra when I returned. It's video is easy to use with just one button. Haven't tried to upload onto the computer yet, so can't comment on this. Big screen. Zoom easy to use, but again on the small side. If you want a camera that is small and compact then this is the one. The pictures also look very clear on the screen. Needed a new camera as the other SLR camera was lost. Too big and bulky to keep an eye on!

After much research and reading of reviews, I bought this to replace a 5-year old Nikon Coolpix 5700 that had finally given up the ghost after being round the world and taking 10000 pictures. I was pleased with the results from the old Nikon, but the Olympus is, on first impression, far superior. You are probably going to buy this Olympus because of the massive size of the zoom. It has double the resolution and 2.5 times the optical zoom of my old Nikon. The Olympus has a massive 20x zoom, and for a camera that is 5 years more advanced you would expect some huge improvements in performance. I needed a discreet small camera for everyday and candid use. Normally I use a Canon 400D. I am very pleased with the performance and results of this camera. It took a while to become familiar with all the controls and features. But now I have, it's a great performer and I carry it with me every day. It produces excellent prints with good colour saturation. I set it to 7M pixels. there is also plenty of versatility on the flash too. I especially like the slide show feature. Just plug it into the TV and off you go it will even provide music if you wish (a little basic but it helps with the mood) and for less than £100 it's a winner with me.

Ok so I'm not a tecky, I just want something that will give great pics and be easy to use straight out of the box and this camera does just that. The instructions are almost intuitive and the on-screen display reminds you what part of the menu you are looking at. The software is even easier to use - someone went to a lot of trouble to make it this simple. Outdoor pics are comprehensively catered for.Only one slight reservation is flash photography but any camera of this size is unlikey to have the power to illuminate middle distance objects. In terms of value for money I shopped around on Amazon a found a stunning deal. 100% recommended, even my missus likes it 'because it just takes brilliant photos'.
