I bought this camera from Amazon in October 2008, which came with a free case that made the whole package very good value. I am no photo professional, so this camera is perfect for a layperson like myself who just wants to point and shoot! Delivers nice pictures; actually 10 megapixel gives lots of unwanted (!) details on your skin, too.. I am glad I didn't go for the 12 megapixel option, which would be too much for the leisure user (each photo becomes too large in size too, using up your SD card space quickly). Overall, this is an impressively small camera that does everthing it's supposed to do quite nicely. The functionalities are straightforward and easy to use as well.

We bought a pair of these cameras for our office to replace our previous site cameras which were getting broken and unreliable. As you can imagine, they have a fairly rough time of it, being used by different staff, on building sites, in all weather, five days a week. We've had them for several months and the only thing that has happened is some slight scratching of the front panel. Picture quality is very good and the menus are easy to use. You don't get a memory card included, but it is probably better to buy your own decent sized one than have a free-but-useless one thrown in which pushes up the price. Recommended.

I bought the camera mainly because of its waterproof feature as I was going to be doing a lot of snorkeling on holiday. I took some amazing underwater photos and was truly impressed until day 12 of the holiday when it stopped working. An error message reported that the card slot cover wasn't closed properly, when it was most definitely was. After a few hours of this it completely died which was really annoying. I did a bit of research when we got home and it appears that a few of the Olympus models have this problem - something to do with the cover sensors. Knowing this I opted for a refund rather than a replacement - which is another good reason to buy from Amazon :)

I just recieved mine today and first impressions is that it is an attractive camera. The pictures are clear. But the camera itself is quite difficult to use as theres so many functions. Not having a black and white setting is a bit of a let down but you can easily download picasa 2 on google n edit your images on there. Its small enough to fit in your pocket or bag and is great for taking pictures with your friends. i suggest buying a 2GB memory card for it as they are so cheap now. Its a really good buy and an excellent value for money, when i told everyone how cheap it wsa they were astonished. Bought this camera to use in school with 6 year olds. It is so easy to use and the photos are excellent. There is even a setting which rectifies shaky hands so now the children can photograph their own work with great results. All in all a great buy.

I am pleased with the camera itself but didn't appreciate that delivery was from the Netherlands. As such, the instructions, which appear comprehensive, come in 4 languages but none of them are English. In addition, the battery charger power lead comes with a european pin plug. A UK plug was enclosed but you either need to change the plug yourself or use an adaptor. None of this was apparent when I ordered the camera and whilst not a serious problem, it was certainly frustrating.

I bought this camera because I wanted "all" the features of a Pro, while not having to change the lenses, but still have enough wide angle and zoom power to satisfy my needs. And for this price, this camera couldn't be any better! Well...it could actualy, in terms of frames-per-second. That's the only thing I don't like about this camera. Too slow if you are into sports or high speed shooting. That's where the Pros really show why the higher prices. Besides that, you almost won't notice that this is not a Pro camera, with all it's manual controls and settings. The dual card slot is also very usefull, so you don't waste your previous xD cards, while you can go for bigger capacity and speed CF ones.
