A bit tongue in cheek, but what can you say about this. It's cheap and it works if you need to plug more than one phone into the same socket. Don't forget to note the 'REN number' of your phones as, if I remember correctly, a maximum total of 4 is allowed. Like all cheap plasticky things it looks a little fragile if exposed to knocks, so don't expose it to knocks.

No complaints about the telephone itself. However after a short powercut our base station fried. Siemens customer services are not English and not helpful. It is also impossible to purchase a replacement power adapter.

.....With the correct software, this phone is great. I think originally it was only meant to be used with Skype, but, after using VoipBuster driver software, I found it will work on other VOIP programmes, such as VoipCheap, Poivy, VoipRaider etc., audio quality is very good too.

I do not normally write these but having bought this phone on price rather than good reviews I am more than satisfied with this phone. I am confused by the comments by the previous three reviewers because it seems nearly all the negative comments are resolvable by reading the very well written manual and changeing the factory settings. 1. conference calls are posible 2. I do not know how it would be possible to make transfering of calls any easier 3. Ring tones and tunes have a range from soft to loud (usefull to some users). 4 you can set the answer delay up to 7 rings before it clicks in. 6.you can swith off individual handsets if you want a nap or conserve battery life. I bought this handset for use with an earlier Diverse base station. be warned: although you will be able to make and receive external calls, you will not be able to make calls between your new handset and earlier Diverse models.

This isn't a good review because I can't think of anything bad to say. Perhaps if the phone was free I'd give it six stars. Mind you, this is the first VoIP phone I've bought, so it's possible it's rubbish by comparison to something else, but if you have a decent broadband connection and want to save some money on phone calls (and get some extras like weather reports and email!) - buy this phone. If you have a family, then get some extra handsets too because you can have several calls going at once on the same VoIP line if you want.

The reviews i've read here are much, much too kind to this phone and to BT. THIS SO CALLED PHONE, IS THE WORST PIECE OF KIT THE TECHNOLOGY WORLD HAS EVER SEEN, BE THAT ON 'ANY' PLATFORM; PHONES, DVD PLAYERS, TVs etc..etc !
