This phone worked fine when I had XP, but having changed computer and had Vista I could not get the phone to work.

The headset is fine insofar as it accurately captures sound - I'm handicapped and need a headset for Dragon speech recognition software. But, the headphones hug/enclose the ears so that it's hard to hear oneself talk, and I don't like that. Apparently they were designed with gamers in mind. I find that the size settings on the headphones alter every time I put them on, which is a bit of a ******; I have only one good hand.

We bought these from a high street shop, and unfortunately lost the receipt. The phones looked and felt cheap (which we didn't really mind), but the quality turned out to be dire on all fronts. The battery life talktime was about 30 mins when we got it but after a week was about 1 min (we did follow the instructions on charging the batteries etc). The LCD readouts on the screens started losing bits so you could hardly read them, and the line quality was so poor you could often not carry out a conversation even though you were standing right next to the base unit (and yes we do have a broadband filter on the line). Having read various reviews about the annoying beeping sound caused by the phone being out of range, I was hesitant about buying this phone. But I found it on a well know auction site for just under £8 so figured I would give it the benefit of the doubt. So far, so good. People I have had conversations with using the phone say the clarity is very good. And I haven't had any problems with the range either, but my house is quite small. I had an idect X3 before. This phone is not as slick and the screen does seem a bit calculator like compared to the idect, but it does what it says on the tin. If you are looking for a basic digital phone, I don't think you can go wrong with this.

In many respects this is a very nice product. However, it has one highly significant flaw. Long before it reaches the maximum usable range it starts beeping at you to tell you that the signal strength is low. This comes as the form of random beeps during an active call which are very distracting. There is no way to switch this BEEP off! I had an older set of BT DECT phones that worked just fine for a number of years before I swapped them out in favour of these new phones. The old BT DECT phones worked fine, these new Graphite 1100 handsets BEEP at you during the call making it impossible to carry on a conversation. Don't buy unless you are going to keep the handsets close to the base station.

I would have awarded no stars if the system would have allowed me. After 14 months of use, 3 of the 4 phones are now unusable and Amazon have fallen back on the fact that the one year warrantee has run out and will not replace. Appalling waste of money, £90+ spent on a phone system that does not work after just over a year - anyone considering these phones should take heed. This is the first time I have had a problem with anything bought from Amazon, but I am now very wary about buying anything other than a CD or DVD from Amazon in the future. Given that three of the four phones have failed suggests something fundamentally wrong with the units something that any High Street retailer would recognise and would offer a without prejudice ...
