Having left bad feedback,on some BT phones,I can't do the same for this one.After taking back three phones to diffrent shops,the Verve 450,is the one that came out on top.It's easy to set up,and just the same to use,even I can do it,and that's saying something.You do need the loudspeaker on to hear it,but it's only the press of a button.If it were possible to give it 10 stars,I would have.May be one day,BT will do phones with spell checkers on,then you may make more sence,of my feedbacks.100% to Verve450

I bought this as an extra handset to add to my existing Synergy 4100 set. It installed and worked fine but then developed a fault (dying when any button was pressed despite being fully charged). Replacement unit quickly developed same fault. BT helpline agreed fault diagnosis in both cases. Naturally I gave up and got my money back - a shame because the Synergy 4xxx series are great when they work!

This works as well as my previous BT Synergy which died after many years. Reason it is marked down is that it has a really stupid design that bugs me everyday. A light is illuminated when a message is left - ok, that's good. When you play the message the light goes out - even if you keep the message. That means that there is no indicator showing that the machine has a message. Maybe that's ok if you live by yourself but if you're in a family, it means whoever plays the message has to remember to tell others. In a busy family with teenagers, that doesn't happen. Result, is that I regret buying this rather than another BT one which showed the number of messages undeleted.

been through several phones and headphones. this product has superior voice input and output quality. It is a bit on the heavy side if you intend to carry it with you in your laptop bag etc... but not that heavy unless your fussy. if you want it for skype only, then it is incredible as it works in perfect sync with skype. If you want it for other VOIP software then it will work as a ear and mic piece. the touchpad etc.. does not work with other softwares. You get MP3 quality output. the unit fits very nicely with the contour of your face. you don't get hot ears as is the case with headphones and some other usb phones. and it has a neat button for your voicemail. the guy who is recorded for this sounds like Arnold in Terminator, maybe ... Great sound, great options, great design. this phone looks good in my house and certainly gets a lot of wow reactions from family and friends. More importantly the phone sound quality is excellent. I'm giving this phone 4 out of 5 because of the lack of functionality, not the phones quality. It is tying to be a bit like a mobile phone with colour screens, ring tones etc. But as far as I can see there is no way to add your own wall papers, ring tones or applications. So it loses a star for limiting me to its in built tones.

I have had my set of these for yonks and am happy enough with them. It's awkward to do call screening with them as you can't hear a message being left on the answerphone and have to press a combination of buttons before the person hangs up to do so, and you have to do a similar action to switch to the other handset in mid call if the one you are using is about to conk out where it has been left off the handset too long since last charge. Neither problem is life threatening, but they do make doing either action very awkward. The thing I do like, though, and is the one thing I searched high and low for at time of purchase, is that there is just one button to start or end a call and that it is in the middle of the top of the handset. I bought 4 of these thinking that as they were recomended for outside use they would be quite loud as my wifes hearing is a little deminished. I find that even I find it hard to hear the incoming caller and my hearing is good, I also found the problem varies from phone to phone some are worse than others so we only use the best one. Otherwise not a bad phone.
