cracking little photo frame, sits neatly on my desk powered by usb, exactly what I wanted. Has it's own software that loads when you connect to usb from the unit, easy to use. I'm going to buy another one for my girlfriend.

I was in a shop looking for a digital photo frame and told a shop assistant I was looking for something different from everything else, that was also modern & stylish. The shop assistant suggested I have a look at the new nix that had just arrived. They had just taken delivery and hadn't even got them on display yet. For the sake of your wallet... don't buy this product. "Out of the box", I experienced the following problems: 1) requires multiple attempts to get your PC's USB port to recognise it. Thought it might have been my PC, so tested on two others with the same results. 2) User interface is painfully slow, to the point where you can make it permanently freeze if you scroll through the menus using the remote control. 3) Unit locks up after 10-15 minutes of use in slideshow mode. Not sure if it's temperature related, but I suspect it's software. Clearly, Hewlett Packard's software test team and quality assurance were on holiday when they brought this product to market. First I bought the HannsG 7 inch frame because I thought it was the cheapest Hi-Res 7 inch frame on the market, only it isn't a Hi-Res frame which I realised after I received it. So I returned the HannsG and got this NIX instead, and the NIX TS07HR one really is Hi Resolution. Long story short it does everything as advertised: it's got a really good hi resolution screen and the difference between a Hi resolution screen and a standard screen is huge. Personally I wouldn't bother with a frame with a standard screen after having seen both. It's got a handy remote control, plays music and is easy to use. I purchased this for a present more because of the frame than anything else we have a lot of good quality pine in our home and from the photo I thought this would fit in well. But I was very surprised especially after reading one of the earlier reviews. To me the frame is more like plastic than a solid wood as far as the technical stuff is concerned did not get that far as the frame was enough to put me off am now trying to get a refund as sent it back be warned the photo is deceiving!!!

My boyfriend bought it for me as a Valentine's gift. It is working really well, the image resolution is one of the best in the market. I like the remote control as well. This is a beautiful frame, i love it.

I bought this digital frame for my girlfriend as a present and am very impressed with the quality and simplicity of it. Setting it up was a breeze and the images look great on screen - the remote and built-in battery make life much easier as you dont have to keep getting up to chnage settings or to pause pictures. I havent tried out the movie function yet but the MP3 playbeack is fine and setting that up is just as easy as setting up the picture slideshow. AND!! I've just noticed that you get a £150 holiday voucher - read through the terms and conditions and its any ABTA or ATOL holiday for 2 people for 7 nights or more - sounds great. Just waiting for my voucher to turn up now!!

This is the third frame i have bought as presents for relatives. All have been very pleased. This was the first one i have bought that needs to be always plugged in, but generally they sit on a shelf anyway. The picture quality is superb. The instruction book is vague but it takes two minutes to figure out what the symbols mean and work your way around the settings. Small internal memory but as this was a purchase for grandmother we will be regularly sending memory cards for updates anyway.Simple easy to use looks great! Easily beats other frames in same price band!

Very simple any somewhat basic, but for this price you really can't go wrong. It makes a great gift and only takes a few minutes to pre load with photos.
