Very disappointed with this... I wanted a frame that was very easy to use for my technophobe mother and, although the picture quality was very good, and the slideshow started straightaway, it was very slow and I had numerous problems. I was particularly keen on the auto-rotation feature - a previous reviewer said that it automatically recognised EXIF rotations. This didn't work at all. So I rotated them on the PC instead. More importantly however, these rotated images were shown as "invalid" when viewing the thumbnails. This is despite the fact that they were taken with a Samsung DSLR camera, and not modified at all other than rotating them. An elegant and clever enhancement to any lounge. A nearly ideal gift to your Grandparents. It does all it says on the box well EXCEPT that it claims on page 18 of the user guide to show mjpeg (avi) videos (their brackets, not mine). Canon cameras,(I am sure you have heard of Canon!) take avi videos, BUT THEY WILL NOT PLAY ON THIS FRAME. This is a real disappointment and spoils what otherwise is a good and simple to operate product. BT are unwilling to comment on their misleading claim and the supplier has had a similar reaction from BT. How typical of BT and WHAT A SHAME.

I'm neither a geek nor a slouch when it comes to techie things, and this is my 4th dig photo frame either for me personally or as gifts for others. Therefore, I feel I have a pretty good 'end user' idea now of what is desired / essential from a Dig frame. Let me say loudly from the start, this is a quality piece of kit ( and at the price it should be). Positive Comments : 1) Excellent picture display Qualities, superior to most others. 2) 4:3 aspect ratio. This means the pictures you take are the pictures you see. OK so I have been using this frame for a few days now and have made the following observations. GOOD **** - Image quality is excellent - Design of frame is attractive and modern - Shuffle function is worth buying the frame alone - This is a VERY big screen for the money (be aware this is the same size as a 15" PC monitor - pretty big!) - Compact digital camera users may not have to crop the image, it may fit straight out of the camera (the aspect ratio of my compact digital means that when I drop the length to 1024 pixels, the width automatically drops to 766 pixels (only two pixels different from the frame) when proportions are constrained in Photoshop. I was so delighted to see this so slim and compact when I opend the box. This is quite compact compared to some other 7inch frames I have seen. Generally it looks more expensive than others with siver menu buttons on the top and main metallic pink on the body. Various of memory devices such as SD, MMC slot cards and USB stick can be used and my favourite songs plays on while pictures roll on slide mode. It fits so neatly on my trolly table.
