ION VCR2PC Video Cassette Archiver I am disappointed with this machine. The DVDs produced are poor quality and jumpy. The instructions such as they are, are useless and there is no troubleshooting help. This is not a simple plug and play. Silly me for not keeping the box, at least I could have flogged it on ebay!

I bought this box after returning a Thomson one - it is a much better box for only £10 more!! Easy to set up, easy to use, instructions are easy to understand! Can record 2 channels at once - but you can only watch either of the 2 channels, but if your recording one you can watch any other channel. Looks pretty good too!!!

What can I say? Well, it's very expensive (come on man, it is). But you get what you pay for in this world. Not only does this thing work amazingly well, it also looks classy and just, well, works. It does everything it's supposed to do without a hitch. Picture quality is stunning (it slaughters my horrible Sky box) and build quality and features are just astounding. The TAP programs are an excellent thing too, I recently installed an Advent calender and my toppy is counting down the days to christmas lmao. Sure, it doesn't record Sky, but then you dont have to send freeview back and have a useless door stop sitting in your TV cabinet. I love how it can decode TUTV recordings too, up yours setanta ! When the player was delivered I expected to plug it in and away I would go. This was not the case, as I found it was an enclosure only and had no hard drive installed. I now find I have to pay in the region of £50 to by a SATA hard drive, and then install it myself. The advertising mentions nothing about this.
