I have just purchased this product for my laptop, and like most was particularly drawn to this product because of its VGA support. Whilst I agree with what others have said about the video support being quite slow, it works for me. I think you just have to be realistic about what to expect. It has expanded what I can do with my laptop, and has made life a lot easier!! So it is not perfect, they have a little way to go to get this product to that stage, but it is not bad. And everything but the monitor works brilliantly.

13.Port Rep Sz Series from: Port

Electronics : Port Rep Sz Series
Bought this to use vaio as desktop at times and it is very good. The GB LAN connection is a welcomed upgrade and the laptop docks/undocks fine. If Sony had included audio ports then I would have given it 5 stars, otherwise it complements the SZ nicely.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Electronics : Acer ezDock Lite - Docking station
Good points:

* Lots of connections including 4x USB ports, parallel port, keyboard & mouse etc
* Works well
* Comes with its own power supply

Bad points:
* Not the easiest to connect up to the PC - needs both hands and occasionally 3 hands if the locking lugs won't disengage cleanly
* Will crash the PC if you forget to run the "undock" command before removing (even if you "hibernate" the PC first)
* Takes up too much desk space because of the connector

My main issue is that the fold out connector means that it takes up an unnecessary amount desk space when connected to the PC - nearly 200mm extra sticking out behind the PC. I'm sure that this could be designed better. Unfortunately, ... Read More:
