101.Netgear EVA700 Digital Entertainer from: Netgear
September 08, 2006
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Electronics : Netgear EVA700 Digital Entertainer
Plugging in this device, i was greeted with nothing, due to the fact i run a purely Linux network. The manual and net indicated i needed a media server running, so tried MythTV, MediaTomb and TwonkyMedia, all three were recognised by the device, and were listed on the front screen of the Netgear as discovered servers, however TwonkyMedia was the only one i was able to get working and stream videos.

Once working, i have found some of the videos over the lan as being a bit jerky on some videos, not major, but the keen eye will spot it.

Good idea, just needs better documentation
