So, so, happy. I got this product thinking the speed was going to be a tad on the small side but I was completely wrong. Transfered 1.2 gig in about 4 minutes. I don't understand why everybody has said its so slow, the only reason I can think of is that you all run rubbish PC's???? My MAC loves this product and so do I!!!!

Although this flash drive is very nicely made Mac users should be aware that it is not fully compatible with the Mac OS. The drive launches a U3 system icon, the software of which is designed to allow transportation of applications as well as data, and this is non-functional on Macs. The flash drive storage partition itself works normally but you are faced with a CD-Rom icon on your desktop every time you insert the stick. SanDisk has just made available a U3 system removal tool for OS X 10.5 Leopard. This seems to work fine although you need to download Cruzer utilities from SanDisk. All-in-all this is a very classy drive. Just be aware of the additional steps necessary if you are a Mac user and wish to remove the U3 system.

A good little drive. Reasonably quick and robust. Being splash proof it is very handy when someone knocks a mug of coffee across the desk. When the cap is attached nothing got in. Good build quality. Built in software takes just over 1MB. I have not needed to use it so far. Works fine on 2000,XP and Vista.

the main reason for my buying this particular product was the radio function but the reception is very poor. It makes the recording of radio programmes pretty pointless too. I definetly would not recommend this if you were a keen radio listener!

I think this is a handy little device. After losing many a cap in my handbag, this reatractable stick solved that problem. Can't complain about the speed - seems pretty fast - what I would consider the standard for a USB 2.0 device. Plus, Kingston offered a 5 year warranty on these - hard to beat!

No complaints about this product. Been using it for a few weeks, and seems tough enough. I find it a little annoying there is no way to attach a key ring or simmilar to the lid (instead there's a shaped peice of rubber to put the lid on) but this isn't really a problem.
Can't fault it, especially considering it's one of the cheapest 2GB flash drives I could find.

The USB stick is sturdy; the rubber casing does provide protection. The stick is small and the chain is strong enough to attach to a keyring with confidence. There is a rubber attachment to connect the lid to the chain when the stick is in use; helpful to prevent loss of the lid.

The bundled SecretZip software is not so good. It allows you to create a zipped encrypted archive. The software zips and encrypts very quickly, but the decrypt process is painfully slow. A 180 Mb file encrypted in a few moments, but has taken over 14 minutes to decrypt. It's a 4Gb drive, so if you intend to secure a few Gb of data in one folder, then be prepared for a very long wait for your data to be decrypted.

Overall - good USB stick, but ... Read More:
