The device comes with CarryItEasy s/w pre-loaded on the drive. this s/w is meant to enable easy encryption, password protections and synchronisation. I am not that impressed with the s/w which was the key reason for choosing this device. Initially it refused to run under my Vista o/s. The s/w asked me to connect the device; odd since the s/w is run from the device and is therefore already attached!!! I contacted the developer, Cosys, and they havent bothered to respond, obviously no interest. Finally I got the software to run by running it from a command line prompt and since then it has run OK in Vista. Confused? Yep me too. I bought the 2GB version. It works seamlessly. No faults or data loss what so ever. It also comes with the neat little software package which allows this drive to become BOOTABLE. What this basically means is that you can start-up your desktop PC without removing it from the USB port. Other softwares include password protection and a couple of others I have not seen. This is an up-to-date Flash Memory stick so you also need not worry about DATA TRANSFER speeds. I am very satisfied all in all. For the price, there's nothing more you can possibly ask for.

This removable disk is reallllllly good. One of the people who left areview said that the software preinstalled cannot be uninstalled.THIS can be done, just have to look through the settings. The tour of the disk tell you this. Provides fast transfer speeds and good storage. The only thing i would say is that even though 2GB is given, you actually get 1.80Gb or something like that becuase the preinstalled software takes space. Skull is cool and funky, great for teenagers.Sandisk-Gr8 Reliablity Overall Great product and would highly recommend to all

I use this as my main interface for moving business and personal documents between home and the office. The encrypted archive interface is easy to use and secure enough even for business usage. It does take some time to set the archive up (you have to choose how big to make the archive and that space is taken up and represented as a separate drive) but you can just leave it alone to do the set up. I chose to use 1 GIG as a secure archive and the rest as an open drive. Speed of transfer is respectable, if not remarkable, but it's the fact that the secure interface works on both Mac and PC as well as only needing you to insert the drive and click on it to use it in any computer that makes me appreciate this so much. The drive is absolutely fine, well-priced, compact and very speedy if you bypass the proprietary Sony compression software, yet the real design drawback is in the fact that the USB contacts are positioned really low & flat between the plastic dividers. If the contacts of your USB port stick out well enough, you are in a luck, otherwise you will have to use an extra USB adapter/hub to just get it working. Sony mention it in their manual, saying "If it does not work, use an external USB hub." MacBook 13" owners beware: it will not work as it is!

The size is awsome...5cm! These tiny little devices are really easy to use and are sturdy and well built, unlike other flimsy devices i've seen. If you are worried about problems like in the reveiw below, don't worry, you don't need to install anything and the google software is optional. Don't let anything put you off this - by far the best memory stick i have seen!
