I recently purchase a Go520 and got the iPod cable with it, the ability to listen to music via the SatNav unit was a great benefit. Before the directions would get drowned out by my music, now the music fades and the directions are crystal clear. In addition I can control my iPod via the TomTom and have both units provide sound via my in car radio. A perfect addition for anybody who likes to listen to music whilst travelling.

The Garmin Oregon 400t is a very good hand held GPS unit. It has a very solid build quality and is packed full of great features including paperless geocaching. It is also very easy to use and the touch screen works very well. However the same quality cannot be said for the pre loaded mapping. Yes it does contain pre loaded topo maps for europe ,BUT they are nowhere nearly as detailed as the optional topo GB DVD and the hill contours are few and far between. Also if you intend to use this GPS as a sat nav the preloaded maps do not support "TURN BY TURN" mapping for which you need to purchase either the MAPSOURCE TOPO GB DVD or MAPSOURCE CITY NAVIGATOR DVD.The pre loaded SD cards may support TURN by TURN but I'm not sure.

This mount is superior to the original because it does actually adhere to the windscreen or to the alternative dashboard mounting disc. However because it is mounted on a flexible arm it vibrates annoyingly (making it hard to read) on all but the smoothest roads. Besides, I think it is totally wrong that TomTom continue to sell a product that has an inadequate mount and then expect you to pay £15.25 (which is cheapest from Amazon by the way, normally £19.99)for an alternative. My solution will be to look round at other makes of sat-nav when I replace;this is agreat pity because the product itself is a good one.

For the price this mount is useful but be careful I drive a Toyota Auris and when my TomTom 520T is mounted on the centre air vent it does not pivot sufficiently downwards to prevent glare and so at times the screen cannot be read.

Just to confirm that this does not fit the latest Vista HCx model.... I've had to send it back for a refund/replacement. However it is a quality product.... just the description is a little lacking!!

i bought this from amazon after reading reviews and also the price was one of the cheapest when it arrived it was so easy to set up the bluetooth connection to my apple 3g iphone was superb the phonebook sync'd across no probs the actual quality of the maps and the routing has been fine on the several times i have used it one neat quirk is that you can download different vehicles from the garmin web site to have as your vehicle.overall this is a very good and useful sat nav for the money and is better than several of my friends who have tom toms it also picks up the satalites pretty quick also has life time sub's to traffic update again very good i rate it but we are all different hope you enjoy it if you buy it

I knocked a star off because I've had a few problems after updating the device. After a month of non working solutions from tomtom support they finally looked at the device and replaced the mainboard. Since then I've had no problems. Overall it's a very good product, I use it often and there's rarely any map problems. (Which are usually only small things that are easy to correct yourself). Defiantly worth buying to put your mind at ease, it's always nice to know if you get lost you can just get it out.
