This is a great idea i think, specially for triathletes like me. bike mount - great - very secure - it has never fallen off on me yet and it saves me getting a big white watch mark !! However, in a hurry - i still have trouble getting the garmin out of the clip - maybe its just a nack i havent got quite yet. Wrist strap - FAB! all my triathlon prayers answered - i can leave the loop threaded and slip it on my wrist as i run out of transition, however i dont think this would work with a bloke with big wrists - you may have to thread and go, so to speak. It also solves the sweaty wrist interfering with the battery problem, as the strap/ mount is backed so the unit does not touch your skin. all in all great ... Read More:

What a great unit from the RAC. I love the quick search which means If I don't have the exact address information I can put bits of information in and always find what I am looking for - like a google search Also the homesync as lots of great features. You can update your device as often as you want including important things like saftey cameras, but you can do lots more with it like download lonley planet guides etc many of which are free of charge. The directions on the screen are really clear. It visually shows you your next manoeuvre and then your next manoevre after that so you can prepare yourself and get in the right lanes. It seems so hard to find in-car chargers that are compatible with a SetNav, not so much because there are not chargers out there but more because it is very hard to find their specifications or ratings. I took a chance with this Hama Model No. 00088474 mini-USB charger because it claimed it was for "Mobile Navigation". It works very well. It does not give its output current rating but it runs and charges my unit, which requires 1Amp+, without a problem. Recommended.

Use this with a TomTom One XL. Great if you want to keep the car charging cable with the unit at all times. Tough enough to protect both. If you remove unit from vehicle and want to carry around in a bag, or to use it on foot, best leave the cable behind and get a slimmer case.

As an avid traveler, I feel you can't get anywere without a good GPS system. This horrific monstrosity made my life a living hell for 3 days, I ended up lost in the North of England, with only my wits on me. The GPS map itself is terribly out of date, and to be frank I would have had better luck with the 1970's AA map.

always thought I could do better than a sat nav, then we borrowerd one from a friend and have since ordered a Tom Tom Xl classic , must say it is brilliant, no stress on a long journey now. Let it do all the work for you. Have yet do a really long journey, somewhere that I do not know where I am going, but we will see.

I was disappointed by this update for roads in Ireland. I travel about 1,000km per week around Ireland and there are several roads still not on this update. A section of the M9 isn't there. A road opened in 2007 in Waterford City is not on it. The N11 Gorey bypass is not on it - I would not spend the money on updates again.
