I bought this for my new nuvi 200W, the version delivered to me wasn't open ended but had a full flap that is held in place by 2 magnetic clips. Looks nice, feels nice but would benefit from a plastic screen cover.

Its leather, it holds the sat nav, it has a credit card pocket and it protects the screen. Doesn't have a flap or strap to hold the sat nav in as others have said but I haven't had it fall out yet. At 99p its a bargain! I paid over a tenner for mine (damn) hence only 4 stars. If you have the compatible sat nav I suggest you get this,

My TomTom ONE v4 (Traffic Europe 22) worked straight out of the box - very intuitive, (anyway, it's easy to pop into a high street store and ask for a demo first). Once home it was simple to connect the tomtom to my PC, although it didn't immediately connect to TomTom Home - I had to go into My Computer and find the "install.exe" file on the device and start it off by clicking that. Once connected to TomTom Home an updated European map set was immediately offered, which I downloaded. Note: this was an 850MB file and took some 3 hours on my PC with a 1Mbit broadband; BE SURE NOT TO DISCONNECT YOUR TOMTOM DURING THIS DOWNLOAD, and if you have a dodgy internet connection wait until it's stable. Brought this with my new v4 and it fits the unit very well. Case is good quality and does the job. However I was disapointed to find out that it will not take the v4 removable windscreen mount. The whole idea of the new mount is that you can take it with you so why won't it fit in the case?!?!?!

Before purchasing this item I read the reviews on this website and was encouraged to read that Tomtom had apparently sorted out the problems with the earlier versions of the TMC traffic reciever. However it just goes to show that you shouldn't believe everything that you read on the internet. Where I live I'm in range of two Classic FM transmitters (the radio station that carries the TMC signals in the UK) and have good signal strength. No matter what I tried the unit simply wouldn't pick up any traffic signal. The Tomtom recognises the receiver and tries to use it but it's constantly searching for a signal. I tried it on auto-search, tried putting in the frequencies manually, tried driving around, tried different polarisations of the aerial ... Read More:

The Garmin Nüvi 300 (which, by the way doesn't have bluetooth) does what it says. Reliable, easy to use, small and seems well built. Connects to a Mac, which in my world of 'ah...except it won't work on a Mac' deserves a mention in it's own right. One word of caution, this particular product is 'newly overhauled'. I have this very product and before it was newly overhauled I can only guess it was it was someone else's. Not a problem, as it looks brand new, you'd never know, unless you want to register it with Garmin and the previous owner already had. Not to worry though, after two emails and one scanned copy of my proof of purchase, they deleted the old registration and I now have mine registered with a free software update. Quick, ... I mainly use my TomTom ONE XL for geocaching, so I enter the destination latitude and longitude co-ordinates taken from an OS map and it's great. I don't find using a postcode as a desination is very accurate and it only takes you to the general area, however, directions over a long route are very good. I especially like the feature when it recalcultes another route within seconds if you divert from the recommened one for any reason. One annoying thing however is telling you to turn right when you are already on a main road and it's simply a right-hand bend with a junction on the left. It also will direct you up a dirt track occasionally, so you do have to use a bit of common sense, drive on and see what the recalculation tells you. Having the distance and arrival time ... I bought this case together with the tomtom one xl v2; the one with the new easy port mounting on the back. I think that the quality of the Hama case is great and well worth the money. However it does not fit the new xl as it has no allowance for the easy port mount clipped on the back. Hope this helps you choose the right case for the 'new' tomtom one xl.

This excellent value product works for charging both my TomTom and Garmin sat navs. The Garmin chargers seem to be especially expensive so this is a real find. It doesn't come with a European or American adaptor so you would need to get these separately (I already have them). It arrived the day after I ordered it.
