I bought one of these recently and have found it to be absolutely ESSENTIAL for protecting my Sat-Nav. The tomtom fits in the case perfectly, but be sure to rotate the arm to the side as shown in the instructions. Also, I had no problems at all with the zip. There are cheaper options available elsewhere but I decided to go for this which is slightly more expensive as it is custom made. It is a very neat item and fits easily into a bag and the tomtom is well protected once inside the case. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because of the price - a little steep after shelling out £150 on the tomtom in the first place but an investment like that is worth protecting properley. I bought this product in Spain, driving back to Ireland through France. The quality of the map in Spain and France is very good. I had several customer meetings both in Madrid and Paris suburbs and the device got me there every time in the time scale predicted. The traffic camera alerts were useful and accurate. Once I got back to Ireland, I found the device to be pretty good, but not as accurate detail as in Continental Europe. There are no traffic camera alerts as far as I can tell. I was looking to plan a trip to Northern Ireland and there are some details lacking on the map, since I could not find the place names. I would advise anyone who has a Tom Tom One XL to go out and buy a nice case in Asda or Tesco to protect their Satnav. This case might be nice with the XL logo on the front, but it does not give ultimate protection more than any other case would at half the cost. You can buy a leather case at that price, which I have done. It definitely needs protection from scratches and falls but be clever and get yourself a normal case even from Dixons otherwise for the same protection, you will be paying megabucks to advertise free for Tom Tom One XL!

Read the two previous reviews, but in spite of them went ahead and bought it anyway. I have had none of the mounting or charger plug problems noted here. However my car does have a heated windscreen, Navman DO tell you this may be a problem for radio reception, and it was, the only channel I had was the same Classic FM as reported by the others here, and very poor reception of that too. A few quick experiments; moving the whole thing outside the car found as expected all the problems were related to the heated screen. A quick look at the Navman website, quickly found that there was supposedly an external antenna available for the T2/S50, the problem was the purchase links died out to nothing. Although this charger is stated as being for TomTom ONE it is also compatible with TomTom GO X20s and X30s (my GO 730 is charging with it as I type this). As I travel a lot the worldwide changeable plug adaptors are a real boon and am surprised other manufacturers of rechargeable electronic gizmos haven't cottoned on to the idea. The USB cable is really unnecessarily heft making it slightly awkward to fold it up hence the 4 stars.

i've recently bought a navman s50. i've found it to be reliable and very simple to use. i've not yet read the instruction manual and in all honesty there isn't much need for one. the sat nav itself calculated routes quickly and if you manage to take the wrong turn it redirects you with ease. the built in bluetooth handsfree set is great, no need to clutter your car with electronics. all in all a quality piece of kit for the price.
