This cable is not suitable for use in all vehicles. It works well in my Ford Fiesta where the power socket is part of the instrument panel but in my Ford Mondeo the power socket is rear of the gear stick. With the cable plugged in and the Tom Tom stuck to the windscreen, the cable just about stretches enough but both connectors are under considerable tension and the cable interfers with the gear stick.

I always find these product reviews helpful as they are based on personal experience and hopefully not predjudice.This is my 3rd e trex and is a fantastic navigation tool.The first was left in my walking trousers and endured a full wash cycle to survive another day and function perfectly well! Such is the reliability of Garmin products.The Legend HCx acquires a fix extremely quickly and hotstarts within 3 seconds or so.This means out in the field,it can be switched on and acquire virtually instantaneously.If left for a day or so,the cold start is 45seconds approx and on switching off,the next "hot" start is 3 seconds. I bought what I thought was a new s90i from amazon only to find it was a factory repacked version ---- it would have cost 20+pounds less direct from navman----as such it would not load any camera updates so it had to go back to navman for furher service before it would perform correctly. So buy elsewere if you plan to use all its functions ----otherwise its a great product when sorted.

I purchased 540 Live recently, not through Amazon, but would have been happy to have done so, firstly if you've ordered one whatever you do don't throw away any packaging or lose your receipt if you want the free fuel. The box has an outer sleeve look inside the sleeve to see if there's a number, if it's not there it's elsewhere on the packaging, you will need this together with your receipt after 30 days to claim the fuel, TomTom claim you have to wait this time just to make sure it's what you want... After three months you will be required to pay a subscription to maintain the live services so if you're not a regular driver it may not be for you, if you want the static safety cameras you will still need to purchase this ... This bit of kit is brilliant, I need to be able to look down and get a grid for my current location instantly and this does that for me. Unfortunately I have now lost 2 units because the bloody pins that retain it to the strap are far too weak. I'm buying a third but make sure you use duct tape or something!

These things stuck really well to the dash but the suction holder just kept falling off. The first time it only lasted 5 mins. The second time 2 hours. The 3rd time 5 mins again. Waste of money.
