I had the TomTom Go 700, which is a fantastic piece of kit, so when my daughter moved to University I thought I would treat myself to a new TomTom 720 and give my old 700 to my daughter. Having waited over a month for delivery I was sure that it would have the latest maps - however on my first journey the first two roundabouts were missing and the third was there but it treated it as a turn. Not a good start, but then again this is Norfolk and not so well populated. The traffic thing is a bit bizarre. I can't say I really understand it. For example travelling from Norwich to London(along the A11/M11) it gave a warning then increased my journey time to 7 hours. So I ignored its route and went towards the A12, to which ... Read More:

Having read three of the four reviews on Amazon for this product I looked at finding something else suitable. However I ultimately decided that this was the only keyboard that would work with my Blackberry and decided to jump in and have a go. What a delight! It is everything I expected and works really well. The keyboard is a great size, both open and when folded, and the lock works sufficiently well to make it stable - although it does help to put it on a book rather than just your knees. I lay on my hotel bed on a business trip recently and typed away quite contentedly. In fairness I did find the online instructions too vague (I do not consider myself particularly good with new hardware/software) but was able to understand enough to then connect. ... Read More:

I replaced my Tom Tom 300 Go with the Garmin Nuvi 350T which has now irritated me so much I have already replaced it with a Tom Tom 530T. The Nuvi 350T forces you to accept a safety message each time you start it, then it doesn't look for satellites until after you have typed in the destination on a non-qwerty keyboard, swapping back and forth to a separate numeral keyboard as necessary, and then is slow to lock on. It gives verbal lane and roundabout exit information too late for safety, uses feet and not yards, does not change volume with speed, and doesn't show your actual speed or the distance to destination. I'm very pleased with this receiver. It's small and extremely light and the signal strength is good. I have found that it works indoors and in the glove compartment of my car.
