bought this drive to fit as a second drive in a Acer aspire 7520, fitted without a problem and now gives plenty of storage for photo's, music etc. Runs very quiet, would recommend this drive. The only negative point, why dont they supply mounting screws?

this pen drive is fine for everyday use. it has 4GB of storage space. more than plenty. the design of the flash drive is ok, if you don't mind having to push a button on the side to get the actual part you put into the USB port to come out. it looks nice, quite small. feels good, no sharp edges. quite difficult to break. i've actually got two of these flash drives. for £8, you can't realy go wrong. that's who much i paid for it anyway, including P&P

I have also bought this harddrive I have had it now for about 6 months now and have put it in my PS3. The hard drive itself seems to work well i have no complaints anyway works fine with a ps3 for anyone that is looking for a HDD replacement. I feel that theres not alot i can say about a HDD apart from it works well.

Arrived on time (as expected from Amazon). Connected to my PC and hey presto I have another Hard Drive in "My Computer" with 320GB of free storage space. This is only connected by the USB cable and is obviously drawing its power from my USB port, tried on my son's laptop and it is detected no problem. (I understand from other reviews that there could be powering problems on older laptops, but according to the documentation a free power supply can be obtained from Freecom, if required). Nice design, it looks clean and sleek on my computer desk, its amazing you can get this much data on such a small device nowadays. If you have a ps3 and wishing to upgrade its hdd then you cant go wrong with this 250 gb western digital hard drive. Its very easy to install into your ps3 there are plenty of vids on youtube of how to do this so check it if you choose so. The most difficult thing about Upgrading my ps3's hdd was the dreaded screws!!! they where so hard to unscrew out of the original casing of your ps3's hdd! I did strip them but still managed to take them out by appling LOADS of preasure!! n I mean ALOT OF PREASURE! lol but it doesnt matter to much if you strip them cos if you ring the playstation care number (+448705998877 UK number) they will take your ps3's details and yours and send you a replacement case and screws all for free :-D ... A previous reviewer speaks of an issue with this unit going to sleep and causing all sorts of problems. I just wanted to point out that I've been using my MyBook for video editing and it's working 100% perfectly. I've actually taken it to San Francisco in my suitcase (wrapped in some tshirts to protect it!) and it worked fine. A super purchase. So much so I'm about to buy another one.

SPEED: It is very quick - nearly as quick at opening and closing files as a hard drive. 3.5GB took me about 8 minutes. CASING: The rubberised casing is pretty large but provides a great robustness to the product. However, the size does cause problems if your USB slots are close together. Patriot have, however, thought of this and supplied a short extension cable in the package. SOFTWARE: Thankfully it is unencumbered by software that you need to install on your PC. Simply plug it in and away you go. No setup required. VERDICT: A fantastic product. The only issue you may have with it is the actual size of it due to the rubber. Other than that I can't fault it.
