A good bit of kit. I had a Sony set already but was fed up with the Aux lead getting in the way - I have a high mounting in the dashboard. Bought this as it has a dedicated iPod lead and am very happy. The sound and features are as good as you wouldexpect from a Sony product. The iPod management system takes a bit of getting used to, but is easy once you are familiar with the controls. the odd thing is the normal screen in the iPod is replaced and youdon't get the usual visuals. It is easier to push the buttons on the headset than it is to scroll whilst driving - but I imagine that any passengers wanting to search the iPod will be frustrated - well just unplug, select and reconnect...

You'll notice from the photo provided to advertise this product that it shows the phone in the holder - that's fine - it does fit. You also see the charger supplied. This is also fine - it charges the phone. What you will not see is the phone in its cradle complete with attached charger. That's because the left-hand 'foot' in the phone cradle, obscures the power input socket, meaning that you cannot simultaneously have the phone on charge and in the holder - bit of a design fault that!! The kit also comes with 2 possible mounts for the cradle; a decent suction mount, and a stick-on mount which has a ridiculous spring-loaded hinge. The sheer weighht of the phone invariably pulls this cradle to its lowest point within seconds ... Read More:

After buying the Sony Ericsson HCB-700 for my car I purchased this for another car so the review takes into account my experience of the HCB-700 and the CK-15w . The fitting of this was straight forward with only four wires (I used 3) this being permanent live, earth and switchable live (only becomes live with ignition on) the wire not used was the radio mute as with the HCB-700. What I found annoying with this kit was that the LCD screen would not swivel 180 degrees so the positioning was limited (the HCB-700 turns 180 and was able to be fitted to the windscreen next to the mirror. The cable from the LCD screen is also thicker than that of the HCB-700 unit Speaker and microphone were easy to position ... Read More:

Next to useless. The four wavelengths available are close together & clash (certainly in my area) too easily with other channels. The cig lighter adapter doesn't work. when working (on batteries), it does the job but completely loses all sound quality on tracks with a high volume. Just a cheap toy. Best get something else.
