This is now the fourth one of these I have had and all 4 have sooner or later simply frozen on me. You can't even switch the damn thing off but it lapses into screen saver mode so the battery aint ever gonna run down it will just remain "shutting down" indefinately. Never buy this- also the FM radio isn't all it's cracked up to be and I found it incredibly difficult to tune any station I wanted. To end on a positive note though the sound quality was very good- but shop elsewhere.

To get rid of the "DEMO" scrolling message perform the following:- 1) Connect up the unit. 2) Switch on the ignition. 3) Ignore what the manual says on page 25 about switching on/off the "DEMO" message. 4) Press the SRC button until the unit displays "STANDBY". 5) Press the MENU button for 1 second until "MENU" is displayed for about 2 seconds followed by another message. 6) Push the control knob towards FM or AM until "DEMO ON" is displayed. 7) Push and hold the control knob for 2 seconds, the display will now read "DEMO OFF". 8) Press the SRC button. 9) Presto, no annoying demo message. I use it in my car as I have ipod but in my car I have only cassette player. Rather than upgrading my car music system and spending lot of money I ordered a simple solution to this problem "Cassette adaptor". This comes very handy. Now I can drive and listen to my fav music without any hassel. I strongly recommend this if you have ipod and cassette player in your car. Don't spend money in upgrading your car music system and buying cds seperately. Invest money in something better :)
