Lefties beware. The software has a tendency to reset the mouse buttons back to right handed mode. I suspect this is a perfect product for 'normal' people but us lefties will struggle. Note that this is only a two button mouse. the third button locks the select button down for dragging purposes but again this only suits righties. Having said all that it's great for switching between mouse mode and trackball mode.

I've had this now for a couple of months, and am generally pleased. Had I read the comments from P.A.Farmer before buying it though, I probably wouldn't have done and that would have been a shame. Some of the comments aren't exaclty 100% accurate. 1) The "Microsoft" logo on the mouse is a metallic adhesive label on the bottom of the mouse, and whilst is not flush, does not catch on the skin. You can barely feel it. 2) The backlight on the keyboard is not poor - its anything but. You can manually change the brightness of the backlight to suit preferences, and so if you use the keyboard at an angle, then you can set it brighter. Just set up this keyboard and mouse, and must admit they both give a good quality feel. These items give excellent value for money, would highly recommend.

I got the 3000 mouse yesterday and loved it , but cannot find out about the light INSIDE THE MOUSE being on all the time.Is this supposed to happen ? even at night when the pc is off ,the red light on the mouse still flickers all the time.It must be using up the battery Micro soft are no help even if you are prepared to hang on for 90 mins or so Does anyone know if this is safe ? help appreciated PRINCE RAFAREL
