This is the second YP player I have purchased from Samsung, the first was the 1gb k3jzb (oh my God) try to avoid these products, both have same quirks, they stick on repeat mode without any prompting; the shuffle is limited to about 10 tracks; It decides to switch itself off when it feels like. I also had a large blue line running vertically through the display. When I returned the player to Samsung - Under Warranty - I was greeted with the most negative "customer" services team you could ever encounter. They informed me it was customer damaged and would not honour the warranty. Without sounding too bitter be very careful about purchasing Samsung MP3 players, especially the YP range. Amazon are very reliable though Cheers

I have bought two of these over the last couple of years for my sons, and they are still going strong. The drop on the price for this particular model to less than 40 quid has prompted me to finally get myself one. These machines are not quite the best and a little on the large side now compared to others. They can be a bit temperamental - but less so with the updated software. The fact that you can't play from folders is a bit of a pain, and they use a non standard (i.e NOT iPOD) connection at the machine end (standard USB at the PC end). So why have I purchased 3 of them? Well it's primarily because it's not an iPod, - so no iTunes DRM nonsense. I mostly prefer drag and drop - but you can use the wonderful and free Media Monkey software to synch, do ... Read More:

Well i got this about a week ago now and must say im impressed. It has done just what i wanted it to and thats enable me to listen to talk sport in my motor. Its got enough storage for 60-70 songs on the mp3 front which is more than enough for me and has a good battery life too. Im really pleased with this product and didnt have to wait too long for it to arive. If your more of a radio listener than mp3 this is great. And yes the signal does drop out from time to time but never more than 5-10mins in my area which is when i stick a tune on the mp3 player! Nice crimbo gift of treat for yourself! if your thinking about getting one i say DOIT!

What a fabulous little piece of kit this is! New knockdown price of £45 makes it a bargain! Follow the instructions, install software first before connecting the Zen to the PC, and once it is connected leave it there until the battery full sign appears (all explained in the instruction manual). The accompanying software is excellent, and the sync manager is a great time saver, although that does bring me to my only negative point - 2GB simply isn't enough for your average music collection. So, you have to be selective about what you put on it - I only managed to get 456 MP3 tracks onto it alongside the pre-installed stuff...... Unfortunately had to return the first one as the touch screen was defective, but this was mitigated by the great service and a replacement was sent immediately. First impressions are that it is a great little device, smaller and lighter than a packet of cigaretes. The ability to put extra storage in, by use of a mini-SD card is great, especially if you are to away from home for a long time. Okay 4 Gb memory basic should be enough for most unless you want to use it solely for videos. I haven't used the device for a video yet, but from the sample given it is quite clear. With pictures it does not like too large a format so to display them you need to reduce the size/compression, however the display is nice and clear.Only niggle I have at present is the built in game, I cannot ...
