Very short battery life, even if you don't use it. So every time I feel like taking it out with me, I can't because it needs recharging on the pc which takes at least 30 minutes. I find navigation is awkward and complicated, and apparently shortens the battery life rapidly. Apart from that it's fine..

Ordered Saturday and received Tuesday, for free! Brilliant service and top quality item but for one thing....the length of the speaker cables which are barely long enough to get separation. Why spoil a product for a few pence 'cos at this price anyone would pay more for a few metres of cable.It's not as if such a comment as this is new with Sony products as it can be seen in many reviews of the CMT range. Its about time someone invented a compact DAB aerial as well, instead of having to secure a wire to the wall/furniture/curtain...anything really. The 75 watts of speaker power doesn't sound anything like the volume of my old Technics system but the clarity is amazing. really good fun very small. has radio which is good but the radio somtimes goes crackly. you can hold 500 songs which is handy. you can look at your song list while you are listening to your song then when you find one you want you can wait till that song has finished then press the forward button and it will put that song on.

great mp3 player my only real critisism would be that its touchscreen is a bit akward to use. that aside it sounds amazing better than my old ipod dab is a bonus....its just great!

I have the 8MB Sansa View that I bought to replace my ageing 4GB iPOD. For music its great. It has one major drawback and that is the software that you need from Sandisk to convert pictures and videos to the specific format for the player. The software (Sansa Media Converter) stops Windows Media Center (Vista) from working. Sansa do not know if it is a clash with WMC or some types of TV card. Anyways, to be able to watch TV again I have to uninstall the Sansa software. If I want to download photos or videos then I have to reinstall the Sansa software. This is a known problem according to Sandisk but they have done nothing to find a solution. In fact, everytime i raise a support case for it, they say Read More:

My son (11) uses this Sansa e280 mostly for MP3s rather than video or radio (although he has few Goodies episodes loaded up and a selection of photos). The MP3/WMA music sound quality of the player is good, although we have upgraded the supplied in ear headphones to £20 over-ear Sennheiser headphones. You can expand the players 8Gb memory via a micro SD slot. Our 2Gb mSD expansion card works fine, and apparently a 1Gb card also works well, but it's possible the player won't recognise larger mSD sizes (e.g. 4Gb) - and only [MP3] music files can run from this SD card slot. Purchased this as a gift for my daughter. So much better than the ipod. Has micro sd slot so you can increase its 2gb size. Micro Sd cards are so cheap it's worth a look. Build quality is solid and sound is great. I am so impressed I will be purchasing one for myself. Version with radio is worth the extra.

Just received player, delighted, feels solid although pocket size very nice design. Outstanding sound & picture quality, very easy to use even for the over 50's (me)!so you young pups who seem to have a spirit guide through Techno Land will find it a breeze! The slide out speakers deliver a powerful clear performance and are a nice addition. All together an outstanding product at a great price. Maria Calais is in the room wih me.
