I bought this to simplify my jacket pocket when travelling to allow me to listen to music and DAB radio. At the price you get a very good media player but average DAB. DAB - first off you need to upgrade the firmware (4.58 currently) but still have eccentricities; only 42 stations which gives problems in London as it doesn't list the main BBC, no favourites list and if it can't get a decent signal nothing comes through. As a DAB radio the Pure products are a lot better. Music - I have until now only bought Creative, this is less stylish but substantially better sound and proper integration of the external card (Creative have still to get this right) which is the main reason I went with Cowon. I haven't had any problems with battery life unlike some other reviews on here, its at least 6 hours in my experience. The player is quick for something so small and holds a lot of music. It works like a drag and drop flash disc and charges from the USB connection so I can use it at home and work, although its not suitable for listening to at work as it does not play whilst connected. Overall its a great player, if you're sat on the fence just buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I spent a full day comparing all the various personal DABS and mp3 players on the market. I wanted a DAB radio for the quality, but was torn between this and an FM radio to ensure that I could get a reception anywhere I went. It was becoming a fruitless search to find the player which ticked all the boxes for me until I found the Iriver B20. I had DAB and FM saving me from making the choice, and with 4gb memory space and a memory card slot if you need more space. It seemed too good to be true. A great little unit comes with a remote controller which is not always mentioned but very useful. Controls are well placed and easy to use. I could have wished for a slightly better tone but mega bass is available which makes a lot of difference. I really congratulate Sony for using re-cyled cardboard packing instead of that ghastly plastic foam which gets everywhere these days. Just missed giving it 5 stars because the price is just a tad high for the speaker quality which one gets.

Firstly i'd like to tell anyone thinking of buying this product (Like i was) to completely ignore the bad reviews. I bought this product yesterday and it's absolutely brilliant! The earphones deliver high quality sound and the radio reception is superb. The benefit of DAB digital radio is that you get to choose from many different radio stations not always available on normal FM or AM radio. The Radio easily connects to your computer via USB cable and instead of having to convert all of the music from your cd's to MP3 this Phillips radio also plays WMA tracks. I just put my cd's into the computer and ripped the music to the MP3 player. I bought this product as a reuslt of the (mainly) favourable reviews on the Amazon website. Frustration and failure. My computer refused to recognise it and five conversations with Samsung technical support (unfailingly courteous and trying to be helpful) have not resolved the problem. Anyone can produce a deffective item occasionally. What was not acceptable was that, according to Samsung, the software supplied was out-of-date and needed to be changed so I had to download a totally different package.
