A great little unit comes with a remote controller which is not always mentioned but very useful. Controls are well placed and easy to use. I could have wished for a slightly better tone but mega bass is available which makes a lot of difference. I really congratulate Sony for using re-cyled cardboard packing instead of that ghastly plastic foam which gets everywhere these days. Just missed giving it 5 stars because the price is just a tad high for the speaker quality which one gets.

Firstly i'd like to tell anyone thinking of buying this product (Like i was) to completely ignore the bad reviews. I bought this product yesterday and it's absolutely brilliant! The earphones deliver high quality sound and the radio reception is superb. The benefit of DAB digital radio is that you get to choose from many different radio stations not always available on normal FM or AM radio. The Radio easily connects to your computer via USB cable and instead of having to convert all of the music from your cd's to MP3 this Phillips radio also plays WMA tracks. I just put my cd's into the computer and ripped the music to the MP3 player. I was a bit worried about buying it in case the stories about bad radio reception my friend had told me about ... I bought this product as a reuslt of the (mainly) favourable reviews on the Amazon website. Frustration and failure. My computer refused to recognise it and five conversations with Samsung technical support (unfailingly courteous and trying to be helpful) have not resolved the problem. Anyone can produce a deffective item occasionally. What was not acceptable was that, according to Samsung, the software supplied was out-of-date and needed to be changed so I had to download a totally different package.

I bought this nearly a year ago in Oct 2007 , and have just upgraded to another zen product with more memory as i was so impressed with this product. Am totally impressed by this little MP3 player. ADVANTAGES: * price - is even cheaper than when i got it, I paid 21.50 and would pay it again. * Asthetics - pretty in pink ;), tiny, lightweight yet sturdy (i managed to put it thru the washing machine and the quality is still top class). * Sound quality - Great. * Usability - Straighforward. When i recieved this item i was very happy due to the fast delivery so i left some positive feedback 2 Days later without any damage at all and keeping it in good condition the earphones stopped working. I assure you in no way did i damage them so i had to go out and buy an earphone adapter and also earphones which costed £8 Once done i also contacted the seller saying that the item was proving to be faulty within days or pruchasing it and i needed some assurance as to why this is happening Till this day i have recieved no reply and the mp3 had been so terribble that within the next week i ordered an Ipod Shuffle off amazon proving the mp3 player to be a complete waste of money

Owned one of these for 6 months now and can hardly fault it. You do need to persevere with the manual at first but the menus are set up logically and the touch controls are fine when you get used to them (except for one very cold night walking the dog when I think my finger was so cold the player didn't realise I was touching it!). Plays MP3, WMV faultlessly - the supplied headphones aren't bad but the sound was transformed when I bought a pair of Sennheiser's - highly recommended... The video I have loaded so far runs fine - although you do have to make sure it's in the right format - the supplied converter isn't brilliant but does the job. Firstly the good things: The picture quality when playing back DivX movies, which is solely what I'm using it for, is excellent. I am using the component outputs, as I have an HD TV. The picture is crisp and full of detail, and with no juddering, as one sometimes gets playing the same file off a DVD or CD. The playback is better quality than my Humax HD recorder. The installation of the HD is very simple, and worked faultlessly. It has no trouble playing back movies from any source on my network - all with great picture quality. The not so good things: The remote is not very good at all. You have to be quite close to the unit, and even then it seems to have a lag at times.
