What a FAB piece of kit! It's sleek, sound is great and has a funky yellow colour, which was essential as this was a birthday present for my 13yr old son and he loves it! I would however recommend that you buy the iPod Nano Case - PG603 IceBox, as not only does it protect the ipod but it further enhances it's appearence.

This iPod looked dodgy ever since it came out. It looks more or less a miniature version of the ipod classic. It's just £50 than a classic. This only store 4 GB (some 8GB) while classic store 80 GB and it has no extra features whatsoever. Finally the 4th generation is out and that can do things the classic can't so don't buy this.

I bought this because £30 for 4gb seemed like a good deal. I wanted a basic, temporary mp3 player to keep me going till I've got the cash for a better one. The player is as described by others: quite attractive, small and light, and easy to use. It does NOT have a radio, even if the description above mentions one. But I am tremendously disappointed. The output volume of this player is ridiculously low, at 3mw per channel (compare that to the iPod's 30mw!). It is impossible to hear music anywhere near traffic, on the train etc, and even on a quiet street it's quite irritating to constantly want the music just a bit louder. (Note that I don't have the volume limiter setting turned on - I am listening at absolutely the maximum ... Read More:

Yes, battery life... mine went dead after less than a year of usage which is disappointing. The logic of the navigation on the Zen Stone is frustrating; meant to be intuitive it is in fact a cluttered and often unresponsive effort which the designer could have avoided. It comes with no clip - I understand this is part of the 'pebble' design but from a practical point of view (i.e. when in the gym or on the move),and for something so small, a clip would have been highly useful. Following the premature `death' of the Zen Stone I am now opting for a Sandisk Sansa Clip which hopefully will prove a more long lasting choice.

I've been wanting to buy an MP3 player for ages and eventually settled on this one. Very impressed with the sound quality. It is really easy to download both music and vids. I have downloaded some BBC iPlayer programmes and have found them surprisingly watchable, despite the small screen size. The menu is intuative - just as well as the getting started instructions are not brilliant. I would have awarded 5 stars except it does not come with a protective cover and unlike iPods, getting accesseries has been really difficult (even my local Sony Centre didn't have a cover).
