As you may have seen, I reviewed one of the previous models of the standard MiniDisc that was the first generation. After being extremely impressed with the amazing sound quality, I had to opt for the Hi-MD model so I could record AND transfer my recordings via the original file on my PC, to which I can safely say this is simple and so effective on these range of Hi-MD models. stylish, compact and ultra portable, i think this is a definite buy. you are able to download music from the internet or from cds (via hi-fi and computer), and the size and portability is amazing, but with only 14 hours of battery life, it takes a lot of charging.

I got this minidisk for xmas and its much better than a cd player. The sonic stage software is a little complicated and tempremental but it does the job. The rechargeable battery is extremely useful and the charging cradle is even useful to keep it in whilst listening at a desk or whatever. For the price they are going at now, i would recommend buying one!If you are a bit lazy and wouldnt be bothered to keep converting music to put on disk then maybe a normal cd player would be better. However it does not take long to transfer the music, not half as long as burning a cd....
