Excellent hard drive,lightweight and easy to use with macbook and windows pc, no problems whatsoever. Just plug in and go. Has a second usb connection attached to the main cable to boost power if required. Fits well into the case logic case.

I bought this drive and i'm afriad its caused me nothing but trouble. I regreat it immensely and Lacie were next to useless on their website. Just search google - there are loads of compatability issues with windows xp and Lacie's USB drivers / UBB controller. I plugged in my drive and initially everything appeared ok. unfortunately Lacie deliver this drive preformatted to the old windows FAT32 system. the first thing they advise do is copy all the instuctions etc off the drive (not even a CD with this one i'm afraid!) and preformat the disc to NTFS. that's when the trouble started. after this windows refused to recognise the drive. however when i plugged it in on my other intel based windows computer, it appeared. now the only way I can ... I agree with the majority of the reviews.Except the awful software program enclosed 'Memeo'. My machine as been running smoothly for over a year.I install memo and crash! Blue screen of death! ...it took me 30 minutes to uninstall it! And strangely it broke my internet connection.When i uninstalled it everything worked perfectly again.Maybe i was unlucky i don't know but i was so disappointed with this 2nd rate software.I mean its just a single hard drive not a computer system.How difficult can it be to to produce some basic workable software? The hard disk i recieved was Samsung...and appears to be a solid piece of kit.Shame about Memo! my advice ..dont install it.If you do...cross your fingers!
