Electronics : Roberts WM202 Roberts STREAM 202 WM202 Wifi Internet, DAB & FM Radio

Wi-fi radio does not seem to be a settled technology, so this is a work in progress. But it's a good one.

True, you can't pause podcasts or 'listen again' feeds.
True, it's hard to connect to the mediaplayer - I have a Mac which connects to anything, but not this.
True it is prone to 'Network Error' messages, only sorted when you kill the power and start it up from scratch.
Programming favourites on a website is simple, but the interface at the radio end could be more simple.

But if you live in a poor signal area (I do) like listening to internet radio stations like radio paradise (I do) then this is a really good piece of kit.

This does just what it says - and easily. I have had soooo many problems in the past simply trying to copy tape to disc - either old VHS, or modern 8mm, and digital tape - so am absolutely chuffed that this is simple one button copying ! No DVD format problems either - because it will use any - "+" , "-" ,and dual layer......highly recommended ! (don't expect a slim line machine though - it is a big old VHS style) Also great for front connections to camcorder - incl; firewire, phono, and usb !

I think the previous reviewer is a bit dim because you have to pull the 2 leg stands out from the back of the unit to enable it to stand up otherwise it will of course fall over!! Mine stands up fine (When the legs are pulled out) and the sound is superb especially the 3d feature which gives a spatial sound and is really effective. Overall great sound and value for money for a compact portable unit and don't forget that it has a rechargeable battery so you don't need to buy any or keep it plugged into the mains for it to work hence it can be used anywhere, plus it has a small remote so no need to get up to change the volume or scan the tracks!! Of course the Bose unit has a better sound but it is a lot more expensive and weighs a ton so it depends ... Read More:

Well i am rather happy with the JBL's, came nice and quickly too which was good.
The speakers look good, and go nicely with my macbook, now the sound:

1. For the music i listen they sound really good. i listen to a lot of bass heavy house music, and the speakers deal with it really well. The sub has a good authoritative bass that is clean, punchy and deep, but does not overpower the rest of the sound.

2. I have to admit they do not sound great for everything, as they lack the midrange ability, but for me this is not a big deal, as i said i listen to mostly house which is bass heavy.

3. The small satellites produce a good sound, leaving the bass for the sub, they are slightly tinny, but for such small speakers ... Read More:

I'm new to all this cinema stuff, so be easy on me.

Received this today at 13:32, if you could have seen my face you would have thought it was Christmas day, I was so excited, and still is.

As this was my first cinema surround I wanted to take my time building it together. I'm sure if you have had these before it should take you no time at all, me 4 hours; however, I did this on purpose. The build quality is what you would expect from a mid-range piece of Sony equipment, I know normally better than the rest. I say mid-range as you can pay more for systems like this from Sony; however, for me you get a high standard in return for £305.80.

The easy to use instructions, the colour coded cables and the calibrator makes ... Read More:

I bought this from Amazon. It works well. I use it to play MP3 sound downloaded onto my Palm handheld. The sound quality is good, and loud enough for me. The front of the speakers is a bit exposed and I will have to take care when lugging them round in my rucksack. The bag is not really good enough and a bit of stiff card should do the trick. In the house this is not a problem. Apart from that, fine.

108.Audio ION Audio Tape to PC Casettendeck USB from: Ion
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Electronics : Audio ION Audio Tape to PC Casettendeck USB
I've been using this Audio ION Audio Tape to PC Casettendeck USB for a couple of weeks, and think it is a good product.
It is true that you don't have to buy this if you already have a good cassette deck, the cables required, the software and the technical know how etc.
However, if you don't and you want a well priced and easy to use solution for downloading cassettes to your PC, this product gives you what you need.
There IS automatic track sensing (one reviewer says there isn't), so you don't have to sit by your PC when downloading tapes. It even uses Gracenote to find track titles for you (although this does not work for all albums).
Just make sure you download the latest software and reset windows default Audio devices before using. ... Read More:

Quality tuner! Cant elaborate much more than the previous review but i wanted a simple tuner that plugs in via the jack for my bass and this did the job perfecto! Tuning was done in a matter of minutes, none of this clip on stuff, plug in and go, don't bother with ebay.

Really pleased with these. It's not like being at Gatecrasher on a big trance night, but they do their job as travel speakers or as a second "hi-fi". Tweaking your iPod's EQ menu helps them sound better - I like the Dance (bassy) and Electronic (trebly but little bass) and Rock settings. I leave the iStation 'surround sound' ON. (Surround sound only if you're the size of a flea, though.)
Cost me £50 four years ago (still going strong) and much cheaper if you play around with a few mouse clicks now !
Re some web reviews stating that continually operating the iPod buttons weakens the docking connection - I don't know if it works with the smaller ones, but on the full-size iPod or the new Touch version (I've tried both), you are supposed to take the clear hard ... Read More:
