These speakers offer execelent value for money and are a great choise for someone wishing the make the leap to surround sound. I have teamed the speakers with a Sony - STR-DG520 Surround Amp and can honestly say the sound is extreamly good. I have listened to other DVD based systems and this setup blows them out of the water, the speakers are quite small but produce a big bright sound. The sub produces a lovely deep rumble which the cheaper DVD based systems simply cannot match. Overall then I am well pleased. A quick word of thanks to Hughes Direct who supplied the system, quality servive chaps.

very modern looking,yet very easy to use. quite a compact unit but pretty weighty...good build quality best thing is the sound...goes very loud and has a good sharp sound let alone when you use the bass setting,gives it an extra kick have played with rock cd's and dance ones i think it's worth 5/5

Background: I am first time home cinema buyer. I have never been keen on too many speakers/big boxes in my living room. Mainly because I own a hi-fi music system that takes up a lot of space. My living room is 12x15 foot. Review: I have had the Sony HT-IS100 for about a month. It was the perfect size/price solution. I considered Sony DAVIS10 amongst a few others. The IS100 has 3 HDMI inputs, one HDMI TV output, upscales to 1080p, minus the DVD player. Compare this to DAVIS10 which upscales to 1080i, has a single HDMI connection and does not have x.v. Colour and 24p True Cinema technology. I did not need the DVD player. Similar sized speakers, better specifications makes this little gem future proof. I have compared this ... Read More:

I have just purchased these black wireless speakers and I think there absolutley brilliant. I wasn't expecting to much from the sound quality with the speakers being wireless, but the quality is extremely good, very impressive. They are incredibly easy to set up via a TV, computer or HI-FI and also ideal for using outdoors for a barbecue.

I have just purchased these black wireless speakers and I think there absolutley brilliant. I wasn't expecting to much from the sound quality with the speakers being wireless, but the quality is extremely good, very impressive. They are incredibly easy to set up via a TV, computer or HI-FI and also ideal for using outdoors for a barbecue.

I totally agree with Phoenix - did exactly the same thing, I wish I revisited the page to have read her review before I bought it,but I put this item in my basket when I saw it in August ready for daughter's birthday. The trouble is the other colours do fit the 3rd Gen Nano's, it's easy to be misled. I've no idea why this one won't, it seems silly. I don't like to give one star for an item I've not tested but you need to draw people's attention to this flaw.

I have owned this CD player for a few years. It is a pretty good player and still works as well as the day I bought it. I must admit that I am a light user though. This is especially true now that I've got my MP3 player. I have no complaints about this at all.
