I've got these earbuds two weeks ago and enjoying it now very much. First I have difficulties with strong highs in some songs, however, when I set my ipod to sound check on the problem is solved with unwanted level of frequencies. I mostly listen house music with 320k bit rate. I tried several options to set the eq and I found the flat setting suited me the best. The base may not be as punchy for those who wants color, but lows are there without any doubdt. I'm looking for an upgrade to se530 maybe in a year, and I believe it will be awesome.

I work offshore, so travel to and from work is an integral part of my life. So when I wanted to purchase a set of iPod speakers I had to restrict myself to reviewing speakers that I could easily transport. As MP3 players and headsets are pretty much de rigueur to offshore workers, I have had lots of opportunities to view other people's speaker purchases. I thought this was an adequate radio, until I tried to replace the batteries. It sounds stupid, but they are just about impossible to get out, unless you have fingers shaped like toothpicks. I had to use a penknife to get out (and destroy) the batteries. Don't buy unless you like Rubik's cubes

Received this radio from Amazon (Thanks Amazon for quick delivery!). Very impressed with its solid build and sound quality for a mono speaker. Looks nice and expensive (which at over £100, it is). Best of all, it comes with a book listing shortwave stations and their frequencies from all over the world and times they broadcast. Not exactly a pocket radio but not too heavy either to take on travels. The only criticism I have is the usual unclear Sony instructions and fiddly button pushing to set it up. Takes time to get used to it but as with all things, once you know, you know! If you want to spend over £100 on a radio, this is a good bet.

I have owned the DX40's predecessor, the Elan, for a couple of years now and cannot fault it's performance, so when I decided to buy a second DAB radio, this was the obvious choice. It looks good (no retro wood or cheap looking plastic)and has a small footprint. The only slight problem with the older model was poor life of rechargeable batteries (I have now modified the radio so it automatically charges when plugged into the mains). The new model is even better, with more features and a chargepak unit available (though at around £30 it's a bit steep...) If you are looking for a reliable, sensibly priced quality DAB radio which can be run off the mains and batteries then buy this one!

Purchased these speakers to use at work with my ipod. The quality of the sound is excellent but as you would expect lacking in bass due to the small size. The design is clever and protects the speakers whilst you carry them. The connection into the rear of the speakers can be fiddly to get in. Overall, excellent sound and nice design.

Good reception, links up with bluetooth phone really quickly and easy to use. Overall a prety good product and not a bad price. Voice quality ok but a bit on the quiet side.
