The sound is full and rich for such a small unit (Has 2x 5W Speakers housed internally). The turntable features 33, 45s or 78s. For anyone that wants a nice looking retro CD/Tape/Radio that also wants to play their old vinyl and cassette collection this is a great choice. Overall a wonderful unit for any audiophile, makes a great gift for any friend or family member (I purchased mine for my Father) and the classic design fits into any living room, diner or study.

I ordered this for my girlfriend who wanted her first DAB radio and have not been dissapointed. The sound is clear with nice bass, it picks up the channels easily even without the aerial fully extended. Changing the channels is a doddle, while listening to one radi ostation you can scroll through a list underneath and simply push the tunning knob in to change to that channel. The box also comes with an auxiliary audio in the MP3 players although I haven't used this feature and handily includes an optical audio out for plugging into your existing AV amp if you have that facility. I bought these to replace my old broken altec lansing speakers but thought I'd try another brand as logitech have served me well in the past. They were both similar in build and price but the sound comparison between the two was staggering. The logitech had a good range of bass to choose from but you can't control the treble which seemed to be stuck at a tinny, shrill tone which drove me mad. It reminded me of music you can hear coming from other peoples headphones on the bus. I shall definitely be sticking to altec lansing from now on, for speakers at least!!

I live in an area of Scotland with poor digital reception. I have been looking for a small but efficient output for my Zune. Problems solved! With the Pure One Mini I pick up stations not available with another Digital radio I tried .... it has FM fallback ... my Zune sounds great through it.... and the sound quality is brilliant considering the size of the unit! I don't need the battery pack so I am delighted with the purchase.

I have to say its original case it a very well constructed, sleek & good looking, but with one major let-down: it leaves all of the front panel controls & display panel exposed to knocks & scratches. Well, based on the other great reviews I just purchased this item and set it up with eager anticipation. What a disappointment! It feels and looks quite well built, everything worked straight out the box and even the remote works perfectly. The problem is with the sound. It's certainly got punch, but it's also lost quality. I'm playing classical music which I know sounds absolutely beautiful on the Bose...and it sounds maddeningly ordinary and dull on this. I tried to improve things by adjusting the treble / base but no matter how I set these the result was wrong. A week ago i bought a cyruslink linkdock from woolworths for £25 which i thought was a good deal. When i started using it the sound seemed clear and detailed but it struggled with bass and when it was turned up loud it distorted badly. But i thought for the money it was ok. After trawling the t'internet and hearing an on stage 2 in tescos i decided to get one and take the cyrus back saying the remote doesn't work which it doesn't unless your right over the dock. The on stage 2 is better in every way the sound is clear and bass is quite punchy for the size of the unit, it is well built and looks good. I could not get a reception after 3 years with my old Sony, so decided to upgrade to a DAB alarm clock radio. I Spent a lot of time reviewing a lot of different models, and finally decided on the Pure VL-60872 White DAB Digital Clock and Radio. I have had the radio for about 3 months and the sound is superb, crystal clear, and I have no trouble getting a reception. My only gripe (and I would be delighted if someone has found a solution)is that the display is not very bright during the night when you wake up and I find myself virtually on top of it trying to read the display (nothing to do with age or vision I may add).
