I have two of these that I have fitted with 250GB IDE Hard drives and they work just fine. Easy to install and setup with simple to follow included instruction, and very good free online support, including FAQ's (with loads of screen shots), firmware upgrades, and manuals. You can store all your music, photographs, videos and any other files you want on them and share them with anyone on your network if you choose. It is also possible to make files available to others outside your LAN using the built in ftp server feature if you wish. Ive got one of these babies with 4 x 1tb disks. I have to say was one of the best IT spends ive done for the home and i do a lot :P Im a bit of a DVD/CD Gannet on Amazon, spend a large % of my income @amazon on movies and albums so a while back i built a Windows Media Center with Vista Ultimate for the lounge. Spent several months converting the lot to DivX/MP3 and I also added a Linksys DMA2200 Extender recently and a Linksys WRT600N Gigabit Lan/Wireless N Router (import from us cos not being released in UK according to Linksys). Great product but if it breaks like mine did after 6 months it costs £35 to get the drive back to their european distribution centre for replacement and they don't refund this which was quite a surprise.

I've had this for about 2 months now. Unpacked it, stuck in 2x250 SATA disks I had, plugged it in and it's been running almost nonstop ever since. I use it to store all kinds of data from large video files to standard word & excel docs. The interface is as good as any I've seen. It supports FAT32, EXT2 & EXT3 disk formats, but not NTFS, however it can read NTFS disks plugged into the USB ports. The network interface is gigabit so access is faster than some other products. Build quality is first class. It's quiet and I've never known it to get hot. It even looks good !!
