Mixed feelings about this drive. As a USB drive no problems. Reasonable amount of storage for the price, looks nice, easy to use and quiet. A good four stars.

As an network drive (which is why I imagine most people will buy it) not so good. You have to use Iomega's software to connect to the drive. It's not intuitive or friendly and unless you carry out a firmware update you have to do this everytime you start your PC - no auto connect. Perhaps this wouldn't matter so much if the documentation was adequate but it's pretty spare. You have to search around the webpage to find reasonable documentation and even then it's a challenge. The method of creating folder shares sounds simple enough but I'm still struggling to make it work and ... Read More:

Where to start... Firsty, since you can only use as a NAS drive when formatted as FAT32, this is how I left it. found it slow, & didn't like the "lowercase only" file storage. However, I persevered & put all my music, photo's & vids on. Only for it to crash. The company were pretty good about me returning (at my own cost). When it was sent back to me with a new disk in, the disk wasn't initialised. Had to do this myself, then format manually. Supply company said they'd post manuals, but never arrived.
