i think that this Little Mouse it very good for a laptop and i find it very useful but i do think that i will have to get used to the size of it. it is very simple to use and it is much easier than a touch pad on a laptop. i give this a 4 star rating becasue it is very good but i just need to get used to it

better than my previous laptop mouse: Targus Ultra Mini 5-Button Optical Mouse - Mouse - optical - 5 button(s) - wired - USB which was too small to be comfortable really and has failed after just over a year. The lights in the Labtec are an added bonus that is bound to elicit respect and awe from my fellow commuters...

This mouse is cheap so i wasn't expecting it to be really good and it isn't. it fits all right in my hand and the buttons work fine so far after 10 minutes of using it. but the scroll wheel is not so good as someone else has already mentioned.

it's not as good as my old mouse but i'm not hugely disappointed coz all i wanted was a cheap mouse for my old PC, coz i'm using my old mouse which is a good quality one for my laptop which i use more now.

so overall, it seems to work fine, but the scroll wheel is not smooth, doesn't have much grip and sometimes you can accidentally scroll up a bit up and down, which is annoying. wouldn't recommend this mouse for gaming, but for normal use, it's ok considering it's low price. ... Read More:

Fine if it is going to stay on a desk, but BEWARE if it will be used with a laptop or at an armchair! The trackball is not held in place and drops out very easily. So unless you fancy crawling under the sofa every five minutes, look elsewhere for your trackball mouse!

Its good mouse but over rated and over priced. Features i like are the forward and back buttons on the side, and on vista mutable page viewing on the side. I don't like the scroll wheel and can't configure it to my liking is either to fast or to slow and not smooth. Cursor works like dream and excellent.

Its good mouse but nothing wow out this world you would aspect with mouse costing this much. If however you have jumped from mouse that is three-four years old then you will be impressed. But there are many mouses on the market that are just as good ( without extra features ) that are a lot cheaper -

Battery life is good - Pc picks up the wireless mouse by tiny wireless usb stick that goes into back of computer ( no wires ) ... Read More:

I've owned this mouse for about 2 yrs now and its still going strong. I love it to bits and as others have said, it does look good. ... and i would buy it again. The reason i didn't go for a wireless one is because i cant be bothered with changing the batteries! This one is great, and the accuracy is fine for me. As someone has mentioned, the scroll wheel rubber has streached, and this is true for mine also(bit annoying!!) but i still love it. - maybe not for someone with large hands or use it constantly for long periods of time.
Hope this helps :)

I bought this mouse in December 2007 and since then I haven't used any other mice willingly. The fact that you can plug it into any other computer and it will work and have your profiles saved on it, ready to use means that you don't have to use any other mice. I like it because it is big and fits my rather large, wide hands very well; the thumb rest is very nice and the grip is designed so that my fourth and little fingers don't just rub on the mouse mat like with other mice. This also allows me to use it for hours on end without the usual cramp in my hand from gripping a small, badly designed mouse like most people have.
The wheel is fantastic: by pressing a button on the under side of the mouse you can switch between ratchet scrolling (where there ... Read More:

I bought the new edition of the G5 because i was looking to replace my dell optical mouse, which wasn't exactly a pleasure to use, the G5 on the other hand is bliss. Performance-wise the tracking and accuracy are both superb. The build quality feels solid and its not an ugly old girl either. The only problems i have witnessed so far is the middle mouse button, which takes some getting used to due to the sensitivity of the scroll right/left buttons, and the weight cartridge. I inserted my weight cartridge without any weights in just to see how it worked and unfortunately its now stuck! Luckily the standard weight doesn't feel too light to me at all. I should also mention the software, its very easy to install and run and uses very little system resources.
