Electronics : Microsoft Laser Gaming Mouse 6000
I spent a long time looking at various mice, including reading lots of tech reviews, before settling on this one. Ill try to share what Ive learnt, so you dont have to wade through the same painful process as I did.

Although I ended up buying a gaming mouse, I dont use it for gaming very often. Im a software and web developer and so often spend a lot of time at the PC. It was important the mouse was comfortable, light, and accurate.
I also wanted to avoid too many buttons which often just detract from the overall usability.

Wireless vs Wired

Initially I wanted a wireless mouse, but the general concensus seems to be that wireless mice are heavier and a bit tiring to use after a ... Read More:

I use this mouse for my laptop, and I find it far far better than any dedicated laptop mouse I have used. It fits my hand nicely, has a long battery life (3 years of ownership and maybe 6 battery changes isn't too bad!). It is also nicely weighted, which sounds silly but is quite important in my opinion. I have had no problems with this mouse and hope to use it for many years to come!

I got this keyboard to plug into an Ubuntu living room PC. I have also used this keyboard with Windows XP.

One thing I like about this is that it requires no drivers in XP or Ubuntu - it just appear like a normal keyboard and mouse. This is especially important for Linux, as I lost weeks of my life trying to get a Belkin bluetooth keyboard and mouse to work in Ubuntu.

Unlike cheaper wireless keyboards which only have a couple of feet of range, and are designed for desktop use, this one easily works across the living room. It is contoured to sit comfortably in both hands, or on your knees.
The trackball and positioning of the primary button are very natural - much more so than a normal mouse I think. Navigating ... Read More:

Short but sweet:

Bought one for my desktop as one of my friends has one for his laptop and after trying it out I liked how it responded, relatively cheap, and no problems at all!

This isn't a fancy schmancy mouse and it's obviously not corded. For what it is, considering the newer mouses(sic) out there, it's not cheap either. I'd say should be £9:99 here on Amazon, not the £12+ it is now.

But that quibble aside this is a solid reliable mouse. It's the only device of the type (other than a Logitech Trackman I had for a long time) that's lasted more than six months (I game/button mash a *lot*).

Smaller than your average PC mouse but not noticable after a while. Comfortable and east to use. After plugging the USB in it worked straight away. Has a handy on/off switch to save power if you can remember to switch it off! Overall stylish design and a fair price.

People Please Please do not buy this product. Iam sorry i wos persuaded by the price and the 2 good reviews for this product. Unfortunately these reviews were wrong. This product looks really nice, it feels sleek, and sits low on your table. However for all its asthetics qualitiys the lag time of both the keyboard and mouse is depressing. I am completly confused why labtec have created such a frustrating product. Although easy to setup the slow lag time makes it virtually impossible to type anything of any speed. Particularly annoying is when typing a password which you do reasonably quickly, the keyoard has a tendency to miss out letters.

Please do not buy this product it might be cheap but certainly not worth it.

Excellent mouse by Apple. I have had this mouse for 8 months, and in all that time only had to change the batteries three times. Very easy to set up via Bluetooth. If you haven't got this yet. It is well worth the money.
