I would say this CD player represents excellent value for money. I have been taking it to college in my bag for 2 years now and its still working, despite my bag being chucked on top of lockers, on the floor etc etc! Sure its a bit scratched but it still works like a dream. The sound quality is great and it plays CD-R/RW's, which is a bonus too. My one gripe would be that it comes with over the head earphones, but I bought my own inner ear ones for around £8 and that still only brought the total price up to around £35. A really good buy.

When I bought this walkman I expected it to be at least better than My brother's Grundig and my dad's 6-year-old Sony, but I did not expect this quality! Once again, Sony have outdone themselves with this walkman. The crystal-clear sound pumps through the high quality earphones, and you wonder what you've been listening to before you got this walkman. It is extremely small and light, so you can take it anywhere. It plays the song so well that you almost believe that you are there, at the concert. And its battery lasts forever! I bought mine about five months ago, and I listen to it all the time, and I've only had to change the batteries once. It's amazing. If you are thinking about buying this....... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

After hearing friends horror stories of ipod battery failure and hard drive failure just outside the warranty. And being mugged for there ipod (the advert is in the headphones). My wife bought me this cd player for my birthday back in april due to the fact i am officially a gadget freek, and Sony's best advert (most products in my home are Sony). I can honestly say with the level of sound quality on offer from both mp3 and ATRAC why would you want an ipod. Then more importantly factor in the CD playback which makes any compression software seem pointless, it all comes down to how much of a priority you put on sound quality.
