The Parrot is a good unit when it works, but unfortunately does not seem to function correctly all of the time. When it works, the sound is clear, and the person at the other end can hear you clearly enough. The main issues I have had with the unit is that it cannot seem to remember the voice tags I've recorded to it, and it gets confused - not even with names that sound alike. It also intermittently has problems with the phone pairing - so will not actually output the sound on the handsfree unit. The problems don't happen alot, but it is unpredictable as to when it will happen, which can get quite frustrating. Although it had reasonable sound to begin with, the left earphone gradually cut out as the wire had somehow broken on the adapter part of the headphones. Incredibly flimsy and eventually all sound cut off. Needs better build. DO NOT BUY.

The sound quality isn't great with these headphones (e.g. the sound quality on the headphones provided with my iPod Touch is far better), and the microphone sounds a little muffled. Also one of the earpieces rattles slightly. Having said all that, I've not heard many complimentary reviews about the original Apple iPhone headset which is retailing at around £19 (I paid £7.99 for these inc P&P), so actually I think these represent good value. I only use them for VOIP calls via Fring and for fun applications like Midomi, and they are fine for that. If you want good quality, you should probably opt for the premium in-ear headphones and mic set, but you will pay 5-6 times what I paid for these.

What I would say in brief about the iPhone is this: believe the hype. It works seemlessly, it's achingly gorgeous to look at and performs excellently. The GPS is actually very useful and has saved me a few times from getting lost. But it isn't perfect by any means. The battery life is not great. It's obviously full of clever (and energy-sapping) features like 3G and GPS, but with even relatively limited use you'll be charging this on average every one and a half days. You can turn down the brightness and do other things to conserve power, but they only have a limited effect. Contrary to other reviews, it is without any charging light. It is NOT as depicted on amazon. One minor complaint is that the charger did not appear to be new. Works nonetheless, and my 6300 is (so far) successfully charging away. Fingers crossed.
