The unit is a massive saving over the canon item, it is possibly not as good but for my requirements it's quite adequate. I have to say though that the instruction book leaves a lot to be desired as it does not indicate how to fit the transmitter battery the right way round (+ to the right) and fitting the carry strap entails dismantling the unit (warranty problem?) the unit bears no marking whatsoever for the correct battery polarity but once the unit is opened + and - can be seen on the circuit board. Overall it works and does the job I bought it for and at the right price.

I own a Nikon D70x and a D200 along with the usual collection of zoom, wide angle and macro lens. I needed something which would produce good quality images but that I could carry in my pocket. I bought the S600 on the day of it's release and found it to be very good indeed. The lens is superb and once you find your way around the menus and use the correct set up the photos are very good. I am very pleased with the camera it does what it says on the packet.

Build Quality is excellent: metal body, firm tactile buttons, no creaks in the casing and battery compartment is extremely secure. Looks: Bearing the Sony Cyber-Shot name across the front against the brushed allumium is absolutely stunning with the dark metallic trim matching the body of the lens. Battery life: It is quite good I haven't experienced it dying out in the middle of a day trip or occasion where lots of snaps get taken. Bought this for my 450D and it does exactly what its supposed to. Not taken any pics where its UV filtering propeties will come in useful yet, but its primary job at the moment is to protect the len. Its got threads on its outer aspect to allow the attachment of further filters or hoods if you want. At £8 its a bargain, its for sale in Tottenham Court Road at £30!!! What a rip off!

I am pleased with the camera itself but didn't appreciate that delivery was from the Netherlands. As such, the instructions, which appear comprehensive, come in 4 languages but none of them are English. In addition, the battery charger power lead comes with a european pin plug. A UK plug was enclosed but you either need to change the plug yourself or use an adaptor. None of this was apparent when I ordered the camera and whilst not a serious problem, it was certainly frustrating.

On the surface this looks like a great deal. Top brand, DivX playback, classy design and it comes with TONS of accessories - seriously, it comes with a carry case/car mounting straps, UK 3-pin and Euro 2-pin AC cables, 12v car cable, AV in/out cable, 5 hour battery, Toshiba branded pad-on-ear headphones and the obligatory remote control unit - which is great, as no portable I have previously owned came with that many accessories. Bought this camera for a present for my girlfriend - she used it for one night took 6 photos and put it in her bag, next day the display screen was not working and the zoom lever on top of camera had folded. It had been in a bag and only subject to reasonable pressure! CASIO REFUSED TO FIX OR REFUND IT. I looked at the switch when we got it back and you can bend it with ease it is so flimsy. I was reluctant to buy a casio originally due to concerns on build quality - my fears have been confirmed, this is the worlds 1st disposable digital camera!

This is a great little set of 3 filters; UV, polariser and flourescent filters in a nice little case to keep them together. These fit perfectly onto the Nikon D40 with a Nikon 18-55 kit lens and also the Nikkor 55-200 VR lens too & the case is handy for putting them in the big bag so they don't get ruined. They give good results if used in the appropriate manner - I have no complaints!
