On the outside this product seemed perfect for me: plently of memory, nice display screen and plenty of useful little functions as well as good reviews... ...and yes, it was good for a while. The initial reason for purchasing this was so I had all my music/photos, etc. in one easily accessible place... ...HOWEVER, I have had no end of annoying niggles with this product. In less than a month the menu button had broken and would continuously get stuck which meant I couldn't access what I needed on the player. The select button also broke which made selecting items that much harder. The player keeps freezing and the only way to get it semi-functioning again is to quite literally disable the battery as that's the only way ... Read More:

This player has it all, I previously owned the archos 605 which is a great little player but the added expense of purchasing the extra codecs is a pain, this player will play 99% of files that you throw at it. The screen is clear and the control interface is easy to use (don't be fooled by other reviews because it's not an archos or apple system, it's meant to be different) the battery info is reliable and may only be off by 10 or 15mins but this goes both ways depending on what codecs it uses. plus points - 1)generic usb connection 2)Screen is vibrant and the viewing angles have to be seen 3)easy to use (but so is anything with time) 4)Battery life is best in class (maybe because this is in a class of ... I have had mine for over a year and it has never failed me once. Great for downloaded content, plays all sorts of files, fantastic screen for downloaded movies or TV. Fits in the back pocket and comes with me on all my travels. Buy a better set of headphones to really appreciate the music. Attatches to any TV. You can view and move the files via windows rather than the supplied software. (This replaced my unreliable Ipod Nano)
