I am slightly disappointed with my new toy, I'll try and explain. I'm a gadget freak! I buy things that I don't really need from time to time (I'm not the only one, right?).... but when I do fork out the best part of week's wage (after the plugins, docking stations etc) I get a little peeved when it doesn't live up to my expectations. What's the problem? well, the main thing that bugs the hell out of me is Archos have upped the screen resolution on the 605 (great?!) and indeed it is a mighty nice resolution however they have somehow sacrificed colour saturation in the process. The 605 has a pretty 'washed out' look when viewing video content and there's no option to raise saturation levels either - everything I have ... Read More:

I also took this camera skiing, and again it stopped working after a few days. It had worked on a previous trip but i guess that -15C was a little too extreme for it. Once again, great camera, i will be getting another but be careful when using it in the cold.

Device does basically what is says on the tin, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with USB Hard Drives unlike what it claims to do. Followed all the manufactuers recommendations FAT/FAT32 even different partition sizes etc. but the drive will not stay spun up (Even tried an externally powered drive). For iPod data transfers or using memory cards/cameras this device is fantastic, charges iPod whilst connected so a definite one to have if you have those types or device. For Harddrives though stay away!
