Does just what it says on the tin. WELL PLEASED bought other brand off hear slightly cheaper,but you could tell.This unit is quiet and has super picture & sound quality,downside the only thing i can fault is i cant find a cable to go to hdmi slot on tv but picture that good i dont think I need it.Over all great product and great service will recommend.....

Of course with an item of this spec it does depend on what you want it to do. I wanted a portable device to view photos, play my music and most importantly to record TV and take it with me from my home to play on a TV at a holiday home, and also have TV with me when I need to pass a few moments of peace. This is a great little player. It is simple to use and easy to add music to it. I just drag and drop the music in windows explorer to add it to my player. It is great build quality, good battery life and a brilliant sound.

Ordered through 'esaver' (one of the amazon additional buyer options) and was delivered promptly. Very happy with the dock. Solid build quality. The dock adapter that came with my ipod (30gb video) fits straight into the base without having to fiddle about. The ipod feels well supported when docked. The RF remote is fine. Works through walls (although I have limited need for this functionality!). I haven't tested the 50' claim but it works from any angle within the room, which is about all I need it to do. Sound quality through the supply cable is good. Video quality is better than I expected it would be considering it is encoded video being watched on a large screen. The product in itself is ok if you have a limited budget and need an MP3 player at a reasonable price like i did. But generally its not grand in terms of quality. The production is clear but not fantastic when you compare it to others. I have had better MP3 players that where in the same price range and had better sound production. I did not find the manual user friendly either, i figured out most of it on my own. Like most things sold online, the pictures taken to represent the item are always glossed and the item looks better than reality. The colour graphics are not as clear as it looks.

If you're looking for something that can play videos on a decent screen and music, this is a strong candidate. The 705 has a decent screen quality and the it's big. The wifi works fine and it's good to be able to play videos remotely (e.g. if you have more videos than can fit on the local hard drive). Downsides: - You can't plan MPEGs/some audio formats unless you buy a codec from them (it plays DivX, XVID, and MPEG3 though). - You can't play online videos such as Youtube (no workaround for this one). - The screen isn't very finger friendly.

I recently bought a 405 30gb + Gen5 Video dock and was looking for a convenient charging device as I am shortly off to Greece for my hols. I didn't want to take the Video dock as it is, although light in weight, quite large! This item does what I want it to do and more. I have transfered pictures from a Nikon using the cameras own USB lead. Also photos from a Canon camera using the docks lead with the smaller usb connector attached to the camera. Saves travelling with different leads doing the same job. I also found that the videos taken with the Canon (very good quality btw) also transferred perfectly. Indeed using the camera as a card reader any files can be downloaded to the unit. The Docking Adapter doesn't need to be connected to an electric supply ... Read More:
